I am going to be getting an OC group together for OC. I have searched high and low for a group that gathers in our area, and have found nothing!

Today a couple of us got together in Laguna Beach. It was fun, but we need to get more people together!

I am planning an OC meet on Jan 14th, in the evening. I want to know which Rubys everyone wants to go to:

Huntington Beach Pier (This is GREAT location, but NO parking next to the diner. Its all pier parking)
Costa Mesa
Irvine
Corona Del Mar

We can rotate which ones we go to.

Also, I want to know what everyone prefers, Sat/Sun afternoons, or Fri/Sat evenings.

If I can get enough regulars, I want to make it an official club, do a website etc.

 

You can count me in if you don't mind Shelby Mustangs :geek:

Sounds like a great idea, one problem I am in San Diego. Would it be only for people in Orange County? Would it be only in Orange County or would you be open to occasionally doing a meet a little further south?

I live in Anaheim Hills. I am open to after 5pm weeksdays, morning to early evening on Saturdays and after 2pm on Sundays.

weekend mornings would be best for me, or late afternoon/evenings on monday (or tuesday-thursday for that matter, I would just have to switch up my schedule for that week) I just cant get out of friday, saturday, sunday nights.

Hey Jess (I will still use your "name"), I can help with the website. I have done several. I also have alot of pictures.

I am down to do anything as far North as LA. If we got people from SD and OC, and cruised to LA...that would be sweet. Maybe plan that one later. I did a meet with a group of V6 stangers to the Park that is by Dodgers Stadium. The name escapes me. we had a barbque...and there is parking for atleast 20 cars, all nosed in to a curb. It was awesome.

for now, Ruby's sounds awesome.

No none of those dates or times work for me figure something else out....JK. Sounds great, I probably couldnt make any Fridays but I could probably swing the Saturdays. If you need my help with anything let me know. And why is it that you guys are always talking about cruising North to LA, the drive south to SD is much nicer, LA is so ugly compared to San Diego, perhaps the group can come down for some of SDs big events, like Stangs on the Bay, or maybe a night at Cruisin' Grand.

There is a huge parking lot down at La jolla Shores right on the beach and there is a park and everything really nice and it usually doesnt fill up until the afternoon. I used to SCUBA dive there alot

 

Hubby is a website/networking god... he better be since its what he does for a living, LOL!! He would love some help with graphics and content,and he will make sure its up and running right. We have a server we will put it on.

K, we have the dates, times, and locations. I am going to be designing some flyers, and poppin them on all the Mustangs in my area. I would love to see this group get big!

 

I vote for La Jolla Shores. I go down there all the time to surf, hang out, etc. rrobello is right, there is a huge park there...and LOTS of parking to line uo our stangs

 

Parking is huge but you would have to get there early because if you show up after 12 you can forget about getting parking anywhere in La Jolla, no less next to each other.

 

Sounds cool. I'd definately be interested, 'specially if guys with the old classics show too!

Also, re where to meet, I used to go to a Ruby's down in South Laguna. It was right on PCH and usually wasn't packed out. I dunno if it's still around, but did you check that out as a possible meeting place? I'm in Westminster, so Costa Mesa is cool for me, but just trying to think of the guys coming north (ok, and any excuse for driving my car down PCH works too!).

Would be neat to start a club here in OC, though I'm amazed there isn't one already!
