California: Stop Sign Cameras Installed on Canyon Roads

Giving a heads up and seeing as no one uses the Cali region section here you go

They started using these yesterday, July 9, in Franklin Canyon located off of Mulholland Drive, and another at the top of Topanga.

At this rate in about 20 years they'll have cameras inside our individual cars that will beam directly to the traffic department. Sadly I'm not even joking, I can really see it happening.

Well, they got the "black box" in most modern cars (ours included) - so, you're right, it's coming soon.....

Thanks for the "heads up". That is one of my favorite drives when I'm in
SoCal.

I understand in England that they track speed and issue tickets using their toll transponders like the FastPass we use here in NorCal. If the time it takes you to go between two checkpoints is too quick, they mail you a citation.

I'm sure it is coming here sooner or later. Not that I think for a minute that the state gives a **** about our safety, they just want the revenue and the insurance companies want an excuse to raise our rates. Safety is just the name they use to get the public to swallow it.
