What is the dilution ratio for 101 octane? In other words, how much 101 do I add to 91 to get 93?? I have no idea how to figure this.

16 gallons

I pee that much every day

Still can't figure why Ford would put in such a small tank,

Mustang sales for Jan and Feb really went down, probably because of their small gas tanks.

I can't install my new tunes until tomorrow when the h-pipe gets put on. I cannot adjust my gear ratio so until tomorrow I will be running high on the rpm and speedometer.

Your answer.... On an empty tank. The ratio is 12:4 12gals of 91oct to 4Gals of 101oct. You'll end up with a 93.5 total octain rating.

I played around with it a bit on my way to school from work tonight. I kept goosing it and stuff. It is MUCH snappier and reacts much quicker. 5th gear is now useable instead of just a cruising gear. The car just winds up quicker. Money well spent.

I wish I could give a better description of what it does. The gears "wake the car up" just like everyone has said. Yes it runs much higher at highway speeds as far as rpms and it almost sounds like it is begging for a 6th gear now. I guess that gives me something to aspire to like a GT500 6 speed transmission (which won't be happening since I don't have an extra 4-5,000 to spend on a transmission).

I can't wait to get that new driveshaft in when in comes in to see just how much quicker the car winds up then. I'm sure it will be unbelievable.

Isn't this what you said it was for 104 octane?

Gears are in!

Dropped off at 4:00 and got the call that it was ready @ 6:30, picked up at 7:00 lost 1/4 inch of rubber from the rear tires @ 7:10!!!!!

Now thats what I call service!

65mph 2200 rpm's
70mph 2500 rpm's

Really not bad driving at highway speeds much more docile than I thought it would be. 373's would definately not be enough for the stick car. 410 is just right! It reminds me of my old fox body 5.0 with 373's they were just right for that car not too steep not too small. I love it!

Has anyone had any luck with the 104 octane booster additive rather than mixing? If it works it would be cheaper than several gallons of the 101 or whatever.

That 104 does not raise it to 104. It raises it 2 octane points only.

I just can't see spending $5.00 per gallon if the additive works as well?

Well that would get you to 93 if you were already using 91 right? I think the 104 booster is like 5 or 6 bucks as opposed to 20 dollars for 4 gallons of 101

I have read that octane boosters and these cars don't get along very well and will foul your spark plugs.

I would rather run the gas on track nights to be on the safe side.

No, but I'm not sure the octane booster works. I would have to see hard proof just to be on the safe side.
