Did you get the regular kit or the master kit ?

Is that a good price on Royal Purple gear oil on Breenspeed ?

 

Bob I think that this Benji fellow will need gear oil, Pinion shims, pinion bearing and race, gear set. Perhaps some silicone gasket maker to seal the rear after install.

 

Whatever kit you get should include those items. If it does you should be fine.

I got the master kit because I wanted to have new bearings.

 

I haven't priced the gear oil. I am just going to buy it locally at the speed shop in BA.

I waxed a LS1 Ram air firebird today out in B.A. (your stomping grounds Paul). I felt sorry for the kid (couldn't have been more than 20 or so) He realy thought he had somthing.......that is until I showed him the back end of my car as I blasted past him. He kept on though gotta give him an "A" for effort. Had lots of heart just not enough power. It's a good thing I installed the UDP's last night.

 

Guys the web site is starting to take shape. I don't see any reason why we cant have it ready by the 10th. I think its just a hairs breath from being ready to launch right now. Just a few pictures and we should be golden. Speaking of pictures does anyone want to try to get together this Sunday if it's nice for a picture shoot? (Paul I know you have to dive) Perhaps we could meet at the lake that paul is diving at and distract him or put N2O in his air tank so he can dive faster.?

Finally got the UDPs

What kind of performance feel did you have David after you installed the pulleys ?

 

Well I can feel that its smoother when you want the power to come on. When you tip into the throttle it seems like less effort on the motor to make the power. I also feel like I got a small boost in torque as well. Seems stronger from the moment you mash the gas. Not a huge oh my gosh kindov power increase but you can tell a difference.

 

If at all possible we need to choose a different date for pictures. Paul is diving and I am in Birmingham, AL for a mock trial competition.

H-pipe arrived and installed!
This has to be one of the most simple installs I have ever done! The pipe fit perfectly without having to beat it into place or anything. Also no MIL. Still no tunes yet from Brent. The car seems to be running a little rich now. I hope the tunes help with this. But all in all .....what , what did you say I can't hear you my car is so freaking loud! Sounds like a beast! It's just sick! no more than an hour tops from start to finish.

 

Test drive complete no trumpeting, no drone, sounds good!

Sorry paul I know i'm killing the coral. Lucky for you there's plenty of nice mud to look at in the area lakes.

 

Also if anyone is interested Chris at K&M muffler can do the gear install as well for $225. If this Benji cat isn't available Chris can get it done same day. Drop off in morning, pick up in afternoon. Seems like less hassle to some degree.
