$215 is pretty standard price. With Ebay though, shipping might take a while.

Morning boys! I'm back. Tired as all get out though. We got a bear Friday night. 6 and 1/2 feet tall, 250 lbs. My wife's uncle shot it. I personally shot nothing but non-alcoholic beers all week. I messed up my left knee and may have to have surgery on it. My wife is trying to get me an appointment with an ortho guy so I can get it checked out. Luckily I can still drive. It's the walking that is bothering me.

Funny pic of the gummy bear...

What was Will doing at our drive?

What's going on Saturday? I can't go because my parents on Tuesdayr night lost half of their house to a flood. I am going down Saturday afternoon after my legal intern license exam to help them continue to clean up. They lost the whole bottom half of the house (meaning it was all water damaged and mud and debrie), they lost the Lexus RX 330, the Infinity M45...

Great job on recruting 6 people! We do need a board meeting. Can anyone do it this week in the evening and we can make a dinner thing out of it?

Finally got the adhesive from Silver Horse Racing to replace my rear medallion. Also got a new shifter linkage rod since mine is bent. Instead of the MGW I am going back to the Saleen Short throw adaptor. Cheaper and I really liked it because it wasn't as notchy. I need to order one this week...

What else did I miss? Fill me in...

Paul, glad the surgery went well...heal quickly my son...

Wow. cool on the Bear. Get us some meatage and we'll throw it on the grill during one of the car days.

Sucks about you're knee. What did you do to it? That's two of us handi-caped.

Also sucks about your parents house. Wow. They got hit pretty bad from the sounds of it. Been flooded out before. the great Tulsa Mermorial Day Flood of 1984. Not fun.

shifter shifter... Do you want your Saleen kit back? How did you bend your shift arm???

The shift arm was bent from the factory actually. We can swap the saleen for the pro 5.0 if you still want it. If not then I will just order a new one from Saleen.

I wrenched my knee while on a tough hike. We were hiking between 5-10 miles per day in the Cabinet Mountains.

What really sucks for my folks is that they don't have flood insurance. Almost no one in OK has it. The cars are paid for by insurance but the rest is not. They did have a 15,000 renters policy they are getting paid on. They had this policy because it covered the septic system in the house. They will be remodeling the entire downstairs of the house. They are stripping the walls and starting from scratch. I'll tell you more of a detailed story later. It's too long to type. Suffice it to say the alarm system alerted them to the leak and they saved some stuff before they lost everything downstairs.

Man Jeff I hate to hear stories like that. Its good that they at least got a chance to save a few items. Also too bad on your injury as well. Hopefully you took some pictures for us that were stuck here in tulsa to look at!! Any pics of the bear?

It's the arm that goes from the gearbox to the transmission. The Pro 5.0 is not bent or damaged. I am just sick of using 2 hands to shift into reverse.

Somehow... That dam thing is tweaked. It should not be a that tight. Did you over thighten the nuts during the install?

Jeff... did some research on modfords. A lot of people are having the same problem as you, but say that it takes a year for the shifter to break in. everyone has the same issues with 5th and reverse for a long period of time during break in, but that it finally loosens up after that

I am very happy with the shifter but she is complaining that it is very difficult to get the car to go into 5th and reverse. I understand that this may be by design since these two gears are not meant to be shifted into while racing.

I have two questions:

1. Has everybody that has installed a short throw shifter (Pro 5.0, Steeda, Hurst) in an 05/06 Mustang noticed this?
2. Is it possible to adjust the shifter in order to reduce some of the effort needed to get the car into 5th and Reverse? I doubt it since the side-to-side spring pressure does not appear to be adjustable but I figured I would ask anyway.

The last thing I want to do is to put the factory (sorry excuse for a shifter) shifter back in the car.
Hello monte11sec, Welcome to the board . The hard to get into 5-R has been discussed on here many times, It is a characteristic of the Pro5.0 shifter. Many people just leave it and it wears itself in (gets easier). Personnally I think its a design flaw. there are two brass bushing, one being much thicker than the other. this is to mimic the factory shifter offset, but if you look at the factory one it is not offset that much. If you switch the bushings around, you will find out that it is now hard to get into 1-2 and the 5-R is now easy. What I did was slice off 1/8 inch off the thicker bushing and put it along with the thinner bushing. there is still an offset, much like the original but it is much easier going into 5-R and still goes into 1-2 fairly easy. another + is it finds its way to 3rd even more so than before. At first when I installed this shifter I liked the 1-2 3-4 shifts but hated the 5-R. To me it was unsatisfactory and I was ready to pull it out and go with a different shifter. but now it perfect. I just didnt like the idea of it wearing into place.

OH! Jeff! I just remebered. You can't use the Saleen adaptor with the one piece drive shift. It hangs down too far. There's a clearance issue. I've read several threads on that...
