Hey everyone, I've been swamped lately and am trying to catch up on reading threads. What's the latest info. on coming to Tallahassee? Times? Places? Number of People?
I noticed in a previous thread that you were looking for dinner spots...did you find somewhere? If not, I know all the local places and can get us a good spot if you'll tell me how many people are coming. Also, there is a really cool coffee shop at Lake Ella called the Black Dog. If you need me to do any legwork on this end- including getting maps together, let me know and I'd be glad to help.
Don't forget that if you want to reach anyone in the Panhandle Ponies, just email me at info@tallahasseemustang.com and I'll get the message out. Shirley (the pres.) must be having email (AOL) problems, which is why she hasn't responded. Everyone is excited about you coming, though.
We look forward to seeing you here!

It looks like ten people so far(+/-), getting the final list together.
Everyone going PM me; so I can get in touch with Fun66 to finalize things PLEASE.
Fun66, Lake Ella is the location of choice. Good for pics I've heard.
Date for those who've forgotten is this Saturday, October 15, 2005
Meet place in Jacksonville is going to be at St Johns Town Center, in front of the TARGET. Time will be 9AM, on the road at 930 AM. I'll bring the donuts
Any stragglers, pick us up on JTB, I95 north, or the rest stop on I10 just after Chaffee Rd mile marker 350 or 349

Question??? Since this is a park we're going to, picnic type lunch or restuarant?

Almost time...130 hours 21 minutes ??? seconds :drive:
See ya'll real soon

Picnic sounds like a good idea, you could buy all your lunch stuff at the Publix across the street. (just northwest of Lake Ella).
What time do you think you will be at the rest area? I think that works for me, coming from OP......

Hey everyone,
6 people is good, but of course, the more the merrier. I wanted to let you know about some things going on in town that you might be interested in cruising to during the weekend:
SATURDAY
Whataburger on Apalachee Parkway (not the one on Thomasville Road) is having a car show beginning at 6 p.m. hosted by Crossbridge Christian Church. Admission is free. Whataburger's number is 942-7886.
FALL FEVER PARTY
Come down this Saturday from 11am-5:00pm and enjoy all that Historic Railroad Square has to offer. Over 40 galleries/stores/boutiques/cafe open along with face painting for the kids, a parade the iron pour and other fantastic once a year activities! Come down to Railroad Square and enjoy FALL FEVER with live music from Soular System and Tocamos and yummy food from Renaissance and Higher Taste! The OTHER SIDE will have a funky assortment of vintage clothes for costumes, funky and sparkly jewelry, furniture, what nots and oh so much more! Gaines to Railroad over the train tracks and take your first right into Railroad Square. Call 222-1308.
SWEET RELIEF: Gulf 104 hosts a benefit for hurricanes Katrina and Rita relief efforts featuring Country heck, Jaded State, the Grand Canyons, Endozone and Not Another Word at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Beta Bar, 809 Railroad Ave. Cover is $7. Call 425-2697.
SUNDAY
BUILDING HOPE: New Orleans jazz musician Brian Seeger joins JB's ZydecoZoo, ZOAN, Big Daddy & Red Hot Java, Island Moon and Paddy Go Easy to raise money for Habitat for Humanity's hurricane-relief fund at a benefit from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Chez Pierre, 1215 Thomasville Road. Admission is a suggested $10 donation at the door. Call 222-0936.
Of course there is a lot more than this going on in town, but I thought you might want to know about a few things in advance.
Take care and see you soon!

Gonna be a great weekend. Can't wait to get there, so glad I got those days off.
Fun66, for the Whataburger, can we just show up? Sounds like fun.
It's even a suprise getaway for the wife, she doesn't know we're going yet.
See you all Saturday

The club here is looking forward to meeting you all! Yes, you can just head to Whataburger at any time. We may have some members who don't come to Lake Ella but who will meet us later at the show (which is very casual, just hang out and talk to other car enthusiasts).
Have you figured out where you are parking yet at Lake Ella? I sent contact information and an aerial image of the area, so I hope that was helpful. Once you let me know where you'll be, I'll send a message out to the group here so we can find you. Do you have a cell phone number you can share also, in case we need to reach you Saturday?
