Things to do in Tallahassee (off the top of my head):

1)Tour FSU campus, lots of old bldgs and other young things.
2)Capitol Complex, old Capitol neat and you can go to the top of the new Capitol.
3)Mkclay Gardens, for the ladies who like looking at green stuff.
4)Wakulla Springs, about a half hour south of town, glass bottom boats and you could see a cool spring. Also some Tarzan movies filmed here.
5)St. George Island - about 2 hours south of town, nice gulf coast beach.

Night time places:
1)Lots of college type bars on Tennessee St (just off FSU campus)
2)Andrews, near Capitol, more adult type place.
3)Cafe Cabernet, wine/fancy smancy place. On N Monroe just north of Lake Ella.


Streets:
Apalachee Pkwy and Tennessee St are your east/west roads.
Monroe St in your main north/south street.

I'm sure I'll think of more later. Any idea on numbers? I can try to make lunch time reservations, if I can get a count?????

 

Is a Gator fan with an 01 Bullitt welcome? I'd hate to burst into flames with Chief Osceola's spear in my back

Hey Jewls- I think that (maybe) by mid-October those darn love bugs will be gone (I hope). I'm going to bring some cleaning supplies, just in case. We can "spot clean" our babies before pics are taken.

For those who are staying overnight, have you made reservations? If so...where? Ill be at the Cabot Lodge on North Monroe off of I-10. (I have a tendancy of getting lost sometimes when I am out of town, so I figured a hotel near the interstate and just a few miles from Lake Ella was my best bet.)

 

Hopefully there is a Holiday or Hampton Inn close by?

What do you mean Razzi will "probably" come??? She HAS to. She is the official Jax TMS photographer! (she's the only one crazy enough to take pictures while hanging out of the passenger side window of a Mustang that is going 90 miles an hour!)

 

Once the official time and dates come out if they arent already we will know whats going on. So many time and places have been popped around were just waiting.

 

I checked two hotels and they are booked.

 

Paul, you and Razzi must come along, as lisa said no one else :crazy: enough to take photos.

The offical date is October 15 @ Lake Ella in Tallahassee, will get directions up soon. Jax people meet up at St. John's Town Center, large parking lot at Target, (very front of lot) meet time is 9 AM, on the road thirty minutes later, Tally is about two and a half, three hours away.

I've checked a few hotels as well, let me find out which ones had rooms again.

 

Is Dave still a no-show?....Guess I need to light the tires up by the office...

 

I will try and at least make the meet part. Hopefully will be able to go to Tally with ya.

 

Haven't seen anything of Dave, either around town or here on TMS. Be SURE to leave a nice long patch...

I just got this one today:

 

Lake Ella is easy. Hit 27south off I10. Go 4 miles or so and its on the left, across from Golden Corral and Rio Bravo. Hit Google Maps and type in Lake Ella tallahassee fl.

 

Barring unforseen circumstances yall can count me in. Any final word on the site?
