I am especially pleased that I got it for less than Walmart store cost!
Today, I also got in one of my "holy grail" cars. (Not including that I got my 1:1 Stang back from the shop after a few weeks of frustration). But, I got this Ertl 1/64 '69 Mach 1! I love the detail. Opening hood and trunk, the chassis is painted and detailed. chrome window trim, and even the polyglass lettering on the tires!
It looks identical to the car in the movie Drive Hard (though not right hand drive).
They have been pricey online and this one popped up for a reasonable price!

I have the red one, yellow one, and metallic green one. I don't have the black one though. Nice find!

Sweet! Thanks! Yeah I have the teal one, too. But the rest were really hard to come by here and are still expensive on ebay overall, but I got a great deal on this one!
I bought them back when they came out, or shortly there after at Kay Bee Toys. Johnny Lightning ended up using the '71 Charger and '65 Malibu from that series in their own line for a short while.
You have heard Johnny Lightning is coming back in 2016 as well as RC Mint, and more Autoworld. Tom Lowe has worked a deal with Tomy to use the castings, and of course Autoworld is his own brand and has been for quite a while.

That is Jeff Koch's blue Johnny Lightning Montego, part of the "Your Car Is The Star" program that they are bringing back. He worked for Johnny Lightning for a short while around 2002 and went on to write for Hemmings Motor News. The car got stolen and recovered when he lived in California, then he sold it.

Yup! I also know it from Hot Rod Magazine's Monte1go project car. I was an avid subscriber in high school when those issues hit! Such nostalgia! I had this 1/64 back when it was new, but sadly didnt keep it. And, it has taken me this long to find one for a decent price. $2 was a steal in my book.
My latest......it's a 1/43 by Norev. These were supplied to UK Ford dealers as promotional pieces. I got mine from ebay, but it was being sold by a dealer!
The quality is superb for such a small model. I paid £25, so about $40
