Hey Guys,

I just wanted to introduce myself, I have been lurking around for months, just decided to take the plunge and order my 2006 windveil blue GT on x-plan. I called the dealership, talked to the salesman and everything was great, except he said that I could not get a copy of the DORA? Now, I know after hanging around here that most buyers get the dora after their car has been ordered? Is there a reason why the dealer would not give me mine? should I be worried?

Using an X-Plan should not prohibit getting a DORA. It might not be the dealer's practice to give DORAs to customers (as they show dealer invoice pricing), but since you're on X-Plan you're going to see that anyway.

If you ordered today you should be able to get a copy of the DORA tomorrow. Can't think of a valid reason to keep it from someone who has X-Plan.

Ask him to blank out the invoice pricing on your copy if he wants. Let him know you want it for your records on the car, and for peace of mind that everything was ordered correctly.

If he still refuses, I would ask why he is unwilling to provide confirmation Ford processed your order correctly.

I just got my DORA faxed to me recently for my 6/6 order. I found that two of the salesmen honestly did not know what the DORA was, and I got the same response you did. I imagine they are a little embarassed. Finally, I had the second salesman ask for help from his co-workers.

Keep in mind, that as a collective, on this forum, we have more knowledge than the average car salesman. If you were selling cars all day, probably the last thing you would want to do is go home and hop on car forums. (with the exception of ISELLFORD, lol).
