I stop to get gas after work and I noticed my car had been keyed. I cleaned the car last night (garage kept), drove straight to work this morning then to the gas station after work. I am so pissed off right now I could kill. I called my work place when I got home and have a meeting on monday morning with the security dept.
I dont understand people who dont respect personal property. I will be out 500.00 deduct., plus the hassle of getting it to the paint shop, and knowing it has been repainted. I was hoping I could keep this car original including paint. I already feel differently about the car, since this has happened. I am hoping the company I work for will pick up the deduct.

Man, I have the deepest sympathy for you. I know exactly what you mean about feeling different about it now. Had a similar experience with my current '98 when it was new. All I can say is if you can find out who did it, take it out of his hiney.

That really stinks... hopefully they will figure out who did it. Do they have parking lot security cameras?

thats nuts...thats why you make friends with big kids...im buddies with a body builder, and a few rather large gentlemen...who enjoy a good brawl here and there. you can say all you want about handling it diplomatically...but sometimes a good beating is just in order. Keep your head up they are just jealous

I have only been driving the stang to work twice a week, and do not use the stang to run errands if I have to leave the car in any parking lot. heck if you cant drive your car to work and feel safe when can you drive it. I am not sure if I will drive it to work again. It may just turn into a weekend car only. They may have security cameras setup at work, I will find out monday morning. The guy in charge of security is a mustang freak, him and his wife own mustangs.

Sorry to hear about your car, Mike. That kind of behavior is beyond my comprehension. I just can't understand why anyone would want to damage some else's property. I mean, what are they getting out of it? Obviously, there is not alot going on upstairs.

Hopefully there will be a video or something you can use to identify the individual. Then you would stand a good chance of having your deductible covered. I think that might actually hurt more than a beating. Anyway, good luck. :bang:

I feel for you man. My mother has a '98 Corvette Pace Car, beautiful vehicle. Its a convertible and she took it shopping once and some dumped his cup of chew spit all over the interior as she had left the top down.

And not that long ago I saw some spit on a Corvette as he was leaving a store, really ticked me off because of what happened to my mother and I plan on having a nice car someday too - felt like having "words" with him.

referring to that video, why didn't that person run him over? Could have said "I was afraid he was going to attack me"

Sorry to hear about your misfortune - this shows my ignorance, but do they have to repaint the whole car?

Just curious, do you have the ant-theft package, and if so, did it set this off? And doesn't it have a remote alarm feature?

I would love to catch someone in the act of doing this to my car. Hope you catch the jerk - good luck.

Dude I'm steamed about that. I feel for ya and your car.

Those idiots can join car thieves and take a one way trip in a handbasket.

That's horrible about your car, I know how I would feel. Hope that guy gets what he deserves Reminds me of a scene in Pulp Fiction, I was going to quote it but couldn't find a single line that would pass the language filters. Anyway, don't accept your car back from the paintshop if it has a single bit of overspray, make sure that paint matches. Good luck, I really hope you find out who did it and make is life painful.
