@MBK: You mean the license plate?

This is the normal/official size of a Swiss license plate.

Wow... even your license plates look professionally crafted.

Actually they are. In Switzerland they are state owned and you have to turn them in once you decide to sell your car.

It's different in Germany. There you own them.

Different countries, different regs.

in the winter my job involves clearing the streets of lower manhattan of any fallen snow......that picture would mean 13 hour shifts day after day after day for about a month. thank god its going to be 60 degrees tomorrow here in NYC! MOTORCYCLE TIME!

I went to the Fabulous Fords Forever show a few year ago with Ron Bramlett of Mustangs Plus. We went to dinner after the show with some of the Southern California locals. I was talking about having to put the car away, and getting it out. They looked at me like I was crazy. "What is putting it away? "

Grand Rapids is really nice in the summer but it seems you get more snow than SE MI.

Maybe next week. Snow is in the Forecast for Friday. The problem now is the pot holes, you hit a deep one and you can really f up the suspension.

Not much snow left here in Buffalo, but I will probably wait for a couple good hard rains to wash the salt away.

I keep thinking about buying snow-tires, too, but I can't justify the cost against the infrequent amount of snow we get. Usually I either try to work from home, or I rely on the 300 pounds of sandbags I lump in the trunk.

Soon as I get the chance, I'm swap'n the rather lame stock tires for some really good all-season tires. It's not hard to beat the stock ones for wet and snow ratings.

My suggestion: skip the all-season tires. They are always crap! Either go for winter or summer tires or ideally both if you need them.

Weather's too unpredictable here. With as much trouble as I have with the all-season tires on wet roads, I can only imagine putting on summer tires.

I was thinking more along the lines of these:
Eagle F1 All Season

Well again, doesn't matter which manufacturer, all season tires are always crap! If you want to do it right, put some winter tires on your stock rims and some summer tires on your flashy alloy or chrome rims. Thats the way to do it right. This way you and your Stang are safe!
