Steve,
So those stripes are tapered?
The color combo looks great, BTW.

Yes, they are tapered. Here are the prints of the way the old Shelby's were striped [/b][/quote]
So that's a 2" gap?
They look a little closer than the other cars I've seen that used the Shelby dimensions.
The others just looked too far apart for my taste so I suggested he use a 1-1/2" gap.
But if that's a full 2", it looks fine to me.
If you don't mind, will you check that? I'm still deciding on what dimensions I will use. I'm considering going less than 10" at the bottom of the rear bumper.

That color combo was one I was fond of too. Like you I also think the windveil with silver strips would look good.
I think I would go with plain side strips (no #s or emblems). This is not meant as a slam on your side stripe choice. My tastes are just a little different.
If we all like exact same tastes, then it would be a very boring world indeed.
Thankfully not everyone is going out and buying lime green with windveil blue stripes
I have a feeling that "Bryan from the Graphix factory" is going to be a very busy man for the next year or two.

Jason,
Yes, there is a 2" space between the stripes, they are striped just as the blue print showed.

Looks nice but looking at the hood it looks like the stripes "bow" out in the middle. I was installing the stripes on mine last night and it was doing the same thing due to the curves in the hood so I took them off. I am going to try again tomorrow.

Exactly.... this is the taper in the stripes. They are straight down the middle and the outside tapers about 1 1/8" from front to back.

Nice picture of the Shelby Gt500 ! I went to Toronto in 1967 with a friend of mine to pick up the exact same car at Wood-Larkin Ford. What a surprise when he handed me the keys and said,"You drive I'm too nervous!" It was a real thrill to cruise back home on the 401! The car got a lot of looks and we were surrounded by the curious when we stopped for gas.

Imagine the windveil blue car with whitewalls. They would match the white stripes so well. It would look so classic. I wonder if they even make whitewalls in a decent tire....
