Windshield Washer Fluid Problems
Windshield Washer Fluid Problems
I took out my windshield washer nozzles to put my stripes on. To do that I had to remove the tubing that connects to the nozzles from underneath the hood. Now my problem is the tubing won't stay on the nozzles when I try to apply the windshield washer fluid, like the pressure is making it come off the nozzles. Anyone else have this problem or know what to do? I mean when I took them off the tubing just unplugged from the nozzles and when I plugged it back in they just won't stay on.
The tubing is over stretched. You might try trimming about 1/4" to 3/8" off the end of the tube to get "fresh" tube on the nipple and see if that works.
If it doesn't, you could always get some silicon tubing that is about the same O.D. of the nozzle tubing and cut a piece about 3/8" long. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch it out and insert the nozzle tubing into the silicon tubing. After putting the nozzle tubing back on the nozzle, slide the silicon tubing up over the tubing/nipple. It will clamp down on the tubing and prevent it from coming off.
I've used this type of "hose clamp" on the plumbing of my RC helis for years with no problems at all.
