Will it wear off?

Well after all these replies I think it's time we officially name this addiction:
1. audioexhaust fixation
2. exhaustus rumbleitus
3. rapid acceleration disease
...all I can come up with quickly.

I roll my windows down in freezing weather to hear the exhaust...get loads of complaints from passengers so I tell them to wear a coat

. Can't wait til I get my Hooker system. Then I ought to be a little closer (at least sound wise).
I've been telling folks when they want to check out my car: "Want to hear my stereo?" Then, I get in and start her up.
"That's my stereo," I tell them, pointing to the dual exhausts. "Never listen to the radio."

I took my radio and speakers out of my 86 Iroc and traded them for other parts and services on the car :-) One of which, was electronic exhaust cutout behind the headers. You like exhaust sound? now *that* sounded good! I could listen to that all day! Coming out from classes at the university I couldn't wait to get in and crank the engine. Sounded so awesome as the engine warmed up, sounded like a dragster till it warmed up
No, it never wears off. Same thing with the "v-twin" harley exhaust, once you ride one of them and crack the throttle open and blast down the road, you'll never think sport bikes sound good again!

The sound my mustang makes is entrancing. EVERY time I start it up I find myself grinning from ear to ear. Gotta love it. However, the night I picked up my car, I purchased STEPENWOLFS "Born to be Wild". I play that song ALOT as it adds to the ambience. It's the perfect song.
