Will ERL update any further after...
I called the ERL this morning and my status is now produced with a dealer ETA week of Sept 2. Will the ERL update any more or is that the last it will do before my car arrives? Just trying to figure out if I should keep calling or not?

My car was produced on Aug 7. ERL's last message was "as of Aug 9 your vehicle was shipped via rail carrier with an ETA week of Aug 21." Then you track the rail car (get the rail car number from your dealer - call CSX at 800.235.2352). Ford Customer Relationship told me on Monday that ETA at dealership should be Aug 24. Let's hope.

Just trying to figure out if I should keep calling or not? <<this subject has been addressed several times before...but to answer your question you should get a few more updates before your car arrives...shipped (and mode of transportation...rail or convoy) arrived at the ramp, then the next message will be a call from your dealer letting you know it's in>>

How long does it generally take from produced to relaesed?
<<in the case of my car the ERL said 'scheduled for build week of 12/13/04' and a few days later it said 'produced and shipped on 12/14/04'

Less than 24 hours from one end to the other, but potentially across a split day. I have reason to believe that my car was started on 7/18 and finished on 7/19. This is based on the language that the ERL used and my calls to CS and my PDF. "As of July 18th, your unit is scheduled to be built week of July 16th". So, the scheduled build date was 7/18. When I called CS on 7/18, they said that the car was "bucked" - or at least started. When I got the PDF of my sticker, I was able to figure out from the numbers on the PDF version (doesn't show on the actual car sticker) that it was started on 7/18. If you look at my PDF sticker (see signature for link), in the lower right you will see a series of numbers which if you stare at them long enough you will make out that there is a date embedded in there in the format of YYYYMMDD.
<<The PDF of the sticker and the one from the car are exactly the same as I have both of them from my car and they match, with the exception of a series of numbers on the PDV version above the blue line on the top of the sticker. Regarding the embedded dates you mentioned...I just looked at my sticker and saw the embedded date of 20041213 (build week of my car-shipped on 12/14 so it's possible they started to build the car on 12/13)>>
