I am agreeing to MSRP with the dealer I am working with also. In the same sense he is the only dealer that would even talk to me about ordering a car. Whats the deal with the car dealers who are still telling people you can't get that car till Nov. I was thinking they should be wanting to sell as many cars as they could whether they were preordered or not.

Personally, I'm keeping my nose to the grindstone and saving up for cobra, and I think a lot of other people are too..... but I think if the car looks as good as those who see it in person claim, it will sell out. First year of new designs when it comes to Mustangs usually do well.

After december of this year, I'll be in a position to save 500 a month and my 02 will be paid off in november of 06 so I'm gonna be socking the money away for Mach if they produce another one. Give me 340 to 350 hp, a shaker for the cool factor and rip the 70 Mach off for styling elements (complete with the headlight treatment from the GT-R) and I will gladly hand over my hard earned savings.

I've already been told by more than 1 dealer. There will be a market value adjustment price added to the MSRP. Most dealers were still putting it on 03-04 models. And I personally can't see paying $5k over for for an 04 gt. But hey they tell me they can get me a great rebate.

Of all the dealers I've sent an email to and talked to, each one has remembered me as being 'the guy asking about the 05 Mustang,' so I doubt that 100 people have ordered a car already(or was I reading that wrong?)
I've talked to five dealers in the area (specifically, to the Fleet/Internet Managers) And many of the dealers in my area won't even take orders until they get solid pricing

What, $2500 off the $5000 markup?

Probably! But with MSRP purchases, high volume develops. That has to be good for business too! I hope to pay MSRP and they can keep all the dealer installed options like tint, pinstriping, anti-theft, etc for $5k.

I f someone is buying 04 GTs over sticker, let me know. I'll buy it for you and deliver it personally. They can't sell them around here. Cars are being bought at invoice, not sticker. Plus rebates.

The dealer I'm working with on the '05 has about 50 '04 stangs on the lot, probably more in the back somewhere... they can't get rid of them. They tried to sell me one right when I walked in the door... one of the dealers was like, "You look like a Mustang kinda guy, am I right?". I was like, you have no idea...
