I didn't like it at first but it grows on you. I actually really like it now, although I like a subtle duck tail better. No spoiler at all leaves the car looking too plain in the rear.
Each to their own, some like it some don't, thats the beauty of having so many options.
Btw, even though the car does draw on past popular body styles it really is a style all it's own. So to me the arguement that it doesn't follow the theme just doesn't hold water. Also duck tails are more common on vintage Camaros than Mustangs.

I like it.
But then I also like some of the ducktails out there.
And I like the clean look.
Just depends on my mood, and what else was done to the car.
You want to know what I don't like?
That newfangled wing they put on the new v6's.
It looks like someone accidentally set a part from another car down on the trunk and left it there.
It is fugly.

Dude if you add like...a "Type-R" sticker and stripes thats like...40hp! 
Personally I like the stock GT spoiler. No spoiler still looks good, but somewhat plain. The GT500 spoiler looks too much like a wedge tacked on the back of the car IMO, I prefer the smoother, more integrated ducktails like the CDC and Street Scene. There's my 2 cents...

actually i like them both ways on the car. i dont think it looks out of place with or without it and thats good. with some cars, they look like theyre lacking something without them - not with these mustangs. and withthe spoiler - they dont like like an afterthought and fit well with the overall design.

I like them with or without a rear spoiler. Although, I do prefer them flat black (like the 69/70 or 03/04 Mach 1's) to contrast with the body color and not add visual height to the rear of the car. I liked the flat black wing that came with my 2003 Mach 1 and can't imagine that car without a wing (although I removed mine once to see how it looked, and it wasn't right so I instantly reinstalled it).
I chose the spoiler delete for my 07 GT, though, as I think the car has a strong link to the 1968 body style which was always wingless. Also, I was after a sleeper look this time around. Dull color, no wing, no chrome, no GT badges, V6 Pony grill/lamps, etc.
So I guess to answer which is better, I say either can look good depending on the overall look/theme of the car.

he he, relax there Airdale. This Old Tar wouldn't let anyone touch mine either. She was well protected. Actually it worked out well as I was the only one in the parade not able to do burn outs, thx to Rudy, Santa, and their pkgs. So I still got tread left, Not so for a few other member's here.

I didn't like it because I thought it made the rear of the car look too tall.
