I use my driveway, it's about 500 feet long with a slight "dog-leg" in the middle.
Great for practicing launches and I can't get a ticket on my own property.

I have a place that I like to "nail it" on the way to work in the AM. There are two a left turn lanes, when it goes green you go left onto a part of the road that kind of goes up and connects to another road (like a freeway onramp with a fairly steep incline). I have sat at that left turn light and have smoked 1 vette and 1 BMW so far! You can get almost to 100 before you approach other traffic and have to brake.

Ah, On Ramps ...
Nature's little 1/4-mile tracks spread all over the nation.

That cracked me up!

We all agree (me included) that an on-ramp is the best place to open our cars up. So I thought of another place that I enjoy opening the car up. For me, the best (and most satisfying) place to lay on the gas, is when I am going under a large multilane overpass. When I come upon one, I downshift 1 gear (4th to 3rd, or 3rd to 2nd, depending on if there is a traffic light ahead), as soon as I get under it. Then, assuming the road ahead is clear, I give it enough gas to say in the gear (and keep the RPM's within reason) until I get out from under the above highway. The sound that the Borlas make with the resonation off the walls is just UNREAL!!
