On 405 where 110 cuts off to Long Beach.
[/quote
Connector onto the 405, yes but not off the 110. Go further south...it's heading northbound
Try again?
Zero to 110 mph

samckernan,
yep those are the three tunnels!
I get to enjoy the HD roar as well, we have a custom FXR, Heritage Springer and a Road King...the Mercer Island tunnels are the best for the bikes!!
I will keep an eye out for ya while out and about

Gotta be on the trunk, need the spoiler delete though!
The place I get on it is a stretch of road a 1/2 mile before I turn on the street I live. You leave a 4 way stop and enter an area with sound walls on both sides, the noise reverberates off the walls and scares the heck out of anybody walking on the sidewalk. There's also the Battery Street Tunnel... from the Viaduct to 99 or vica versa...

Tsbird, I know that stretch of road!, been to a few concerts at Jones Beach..that would be fun in the GT!!
Sam, the Battery street tunnel is good but narrow and curvy, late at night with no traffic its fun

There is a great stretch out near the airport, goes right past the Howard Johnson. Pretty much a straight strip that has little police action. Would guess about a 1/2 mile stretch or so, get it over 120 everytime I am out on that strip.

On the Autobahn. WOT with zero consequences.

My favourite spot is where the A12 highway from Holland enters Germany (becoming the Autobahn A3), because there's an instant change from the Dutch 60 mph limit to NO SPEED LIMIT!
Next time I'm there I'll time the 60-150 mph acceleration

The few times I've done a road trip (usually on the Texas back roads), I just look for an excuse to pass someone. Drop to 3rd, nail it, scoot into the oncoming traffic lane (2 lane road) and zoooom. By the time you're back in your lane...its 100+ mph and clear sailings.

back home there is this little 2miles stretch of freeway that branches off of the main highway (business-80). it curves for half a mile gradually, then is dead straight for a mile before the exit to my neighborhood. i used to gun it there every other day on the way home from school, and occasionally did top-end runs (letting off around 140 tho to exit without killing the brakes)

After I get off the highway on my commute home, there's a great batch of traffic lights, open streches and 90 degree turns. Right off the highway there's a good 2 lane into 3 change at a light, (i need the middle one) so I get a good sprint for it once it turns green. After that, there's two lights that are 90 degree lefts into straight streches, so I get perfect opportunities for first gear through the turn and drop the clutch into second to blast out of the turn.
Perfect end to a long workday.

Well its not a straight, but I have a 6 mile dead end road near me with great pavement and many 90+ degree turns in that is a blast in any car, especially a mustang. Its got ups and downs, and most of the turns are banked some so you can hold speed really well on it. Lots of sport bikes show up in the area on the weekends to ride it and other roads where I live. I've scared a few people on this road before that have ridden with me

I use my driveway, it's about 500 feet long with a slight "dog-leg" in the middle.
Great for practicing launches and I can't get a ticket on my own property.
