A Peon at my local Northern California Ford Dealer said: "2005 Mustang?... We're getting those early November."

Then the manager came out and said: "No, No... We're getting two on the showroom floor in a week or two."

So you tell me... how long from a showroom floor to a nice grassy noll outside?

The manufacturers look at their production forecasts and their dealer network. They have contracts in place with their shippers so they know their shipping costs. They take all of that in and average it out to a per vehicle price.

Thats an over simplification of how it works, but you get the idea.

MY05Stang.... I saw the same add. I haven't been down to Moss ford, though, so i dont know for sure. I was real excited.
Hmmm... we must live somewhere close to each other...?

I personally SoCal should get a high priority. California is king for mustangs.
How many of you'se guys can say you drove up Pacific Coast Highway, with the windows down, smelling that sweet ocean smell, driving the ultimate coast-cruising car? I know I can
Also... how many of you'se guys pay 700,000 dollars for a shack, and half the value of the car in registration? 'Cause we do that here too!
Hey Chris8519 I live in Riverside! If you are getting an 05 let's go hit the Fontana Speedway with them for some 1/4 fun!

I'm wondering if we'll have a nice stock of '05s on dealer lots in the coming months here in the northeast. People tend not to buy cars during late fall and winter here - for obvious reasons.

The real question for those of us that have cars or order is..Has Ford started shipping? My car was produced the first day of production but is not yet in a shipped status. My dealer informed me that once it does ship it will take about ten days to get to the dealership here in Washington, so best case for me is probably 10/4..Does anyone have a car that is in "shipped" status?

Mine also was built the first week. Ship date TBD. I think it might be a sticky when someone can confirm shipments. I am thinking maybe 9/27 release date.

The same guy posted on the "Today is job 1" thread on this website on 9/11..But I've assumed he was wrong since it is the only mention of anyone's order being scheduled to ship...

Lt Col Charles Arndt,

Are you out there? Did your car really ship?? If so, did you take delivery? (I don't think it should take too long to get to Kansas)

Well, I will say Michigan cause they're built here, lesser shipping costs and ....they love us lol, so THERE!

I'm originally from Michigan, does that mean they still love me to? I'm in Tennessee now & my salesman told me that they are gonna charge you the same shipping & delivery fees that they will charge me. Guess that's what they have to do to be fair. If you can get them quicker up there, I guess I'll make a road trip to my old stomping grounds :drive:
Hmm, they may still love you, but I have no Idea about the costs for them to ship from state to state. It seems that by logic it would cost less to ship in Michigan then any other state or Providence, whether this reflects in destination charges is beyond me. If it's any cosolation, us Michiganders still love you. [/b][/quote]
Hey thanks, we yankees have to stick together.
