When and Where was your Engine Built
I can't remember where it was built... I didn't look for that... but when I was installing my pulleys, I saw a stamp on the engine that was August 27... my birthday. So, my engine and I share the same birthday. Pretty cool.

My V6 has a date of July 7, 2004. My build date was the week of Sept. 7 but I can not see where it was built.
Any clues?

Well, I started this this thread some time ago and have no real reason why I stated my engine was built on Feb 4, 2004. From the picture below and reading you all's responses, it appears my engine was built Dec 2, 2004. This makes more sense since my car was built the week of Nov 29th, which would take it through Dec 6th. I did find some other neat stickers in the engine compartment, one being a black decal on the bottom front of the air box. That decal actually says 12/2/04 and has a time of 18:24:15 or 6:24pm. Wonder if that is when the engine was completed? Who knows

J/K, you know I love ya!
It seems that Ford was starting the transition somewhere around the end of 04 from the Essex to the Romeo engine. Were the Mustang GT’s delivered in February or March engine built in Essex or Romeo? My guess would be that they are all made in Romeo.
Romeo Jan 11-05
Build Day Jan 26-05
I belive Dan that the change over is Mid febuary for Romeo to kick in ,once you get some more posting's I'm sure this will tell you .
As for rareity I don't think this will make a difference in price 20 or 30 years from now but it will help to identify an early build 05 mustang other than the VIN no.
