just wondering what its set at on the 06gt's?? I tried to search but had no luck. Does it depend on which tires they put on the car or are they all set the same??

Speed is electronically limited to 149mph. Why they chose 149 I don't know, come on Ford, make me a car that I can tell my friends will do 150, not 149....sheesh.
Also, I don't think it matters what tires/wheels you have, when the speedo reads 149 your done, it shuts off the fuel just like the rev limiter.

one of the reasons I ask is because on my 00gt came with z rated tires and on the 06 they are rated to 112 mph. M+S tires

The tires on the 06 GT's are W rated. Z rated tires are good for 149+, W rated tires are good for 168mph, not 112. M+S is not the speed rating, it denotes the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's are good for all weather, vs. the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's made for summer use only.
