I found out my car was built of the 17th and not shipped until yesterday because it was on a quality hold. What does that mean? Does my car have some potential problem I should be worried about?

 

Normally it means that Ford has found a particular issue with a certain batch of cars so they are all put into a hold status until they can each be inspected and IF there are any problems, they are fixed prior to shipping.
I would not be too concerned. The only thing I hate [and my 07 was in the same category at the beginning of the 07 run] is that NO information or reasons for the hold are disseminated to the dealers. All we are told is quality hold, period. It's frustrating but better to have had Ford identify a possible problem prior to shipment.

 

Thanks, I am glad it was only held for 10 days, it could have been much worse. Of course at this point 10 days seems like 10 years.
