Well, that didn't work...
After going back and forth for a week on my GT 500 tribute car that a dealer in Houston was going to build for me, and having obstacles repeatedly thrown in my path, I finally told them tonight that I was done, cancel the order. What a hassle!
So I went to the local Ford dealer, and in half an hour I had a Mustang bought. It's an '07 GT Premium 5-speed with no options except for IUP and the Premium Interior Trim, in Satin Silver with the 2-tone black and dove interior. I'm even having them swap deck lids so I don't have a spoiler. Now I can build it exactly the way I want it.
Let the mods begin!

Congrats on the new ride!

They tried to renegotiate the price, then they wanted me to pay sales tax, even though I'm out of state, then they said the car had 675 miles on it. This all went back and forth over the space of a week. I'll never try to buy a new car over the internet again. If I can't walk in and touch it and buy it, I'll pass.
