For all you Vert owners. Post your stories (and pics) about your beautiful machine.
Would be nice to see how many verts are out there.
Consider this the official Convertible thread. LOL

Cannot join the club and post pics until I get out of order purgatory. Order placed 2/9 for Mineral Grey Vert and now 8wks later, still do not have either DORA or VIN#. I am begining to lean toward screwed what with all the talk of shortages and orders being pushed to '06. As my wife really wants the MG color, an '06 is NOT an option.

I got the call today at lunch, my car arrived. They called as soon as the truck arrived (which was cool). They said they would need a day to PDI it, but I stopped in late in the day anyway to check it out. First thing I checked was the paint, and it was fine. He said they put plastic wrap around all the cars so no rail dust got on it.

Unfortunately my late request for Spoiler Delete didn't get through :notnice:, so I ended up with a Spoiler! Not sure who's fault it was, but I'm not that upset, since I was wishy-washy on the whole decision anyway. She still looks awesome. (That would be my worst nightmare, having to wait for fresh order)

They finished PDI quicker than expected and said I could take it home right then and there, but I declined so I could go back tomorrow with my checklist (which I got from TMS forums) and also give my bank a change to counter offer their 4.25% rate (The bank had closed).
How many of you could have declined? I almost rushed back before they closed, but figure I waited this long, what is one more night & morning. I wanted them to install the keyless entry keypad anyway.

After reading so many other's experiences on this forum, it sure is nice to get my own car delivered, finally.
Thank you to everyone on this forum for providing such comprehensive, accurate, and timely information.

I'll post pictures and any good information tomorrow night.

NO rail dust???? I'm covered in it!!! just to be on the safe side, double check the paint and make sure you don't have any orange/yellow flecks in it cause i think that NOT having rail dust is rare.... (gotta take my car for a little claybar treatment pretty soon).

oh yeah....i almost forgot to say Congrats on your vert and POST PICS!

Love my screamin 'vert! Pics on my sig. This car was born to cruise Ft Lauderdale strip getting looks. Sign me up for Club Vert.

My favorite story is from the So. Florida get together last weekend. Tim, the owner of two Gt350KR's one vert, one fastback, comes over saying what a beauty my screamer is. Then he offers me to sit in his if he can sit in mine. What afreakin car that was - but wat a complement.

The day before, I was picking up my car from the tint place, and my wife and a coworker of hers meet me there. He's got an M3 with all the goodies, and says he's jealous - my car is nicer than his! Again, the ultimate complement from a guy with a super car by any standard.

Now thats more like .

DD , nice vert Bud.
Deserves a Beethovan medley, NA NA NA NANNERS

Well if you didn't catch my story last week, here it is:

Tuesday March 29.2005
Well guys , what a day.
Most awsome thing i have ever seen.
24 verts all in one place, being given to 4 customers and 20 dealerships.
Of course mine was one of them.
They also verified that my lucky lady is the first one built for Canada.
We started with a presentation at the hard rock cafe. Then all 24 were escorted by police for a 15min downtown cruise in the middle of lunch!!!
Needless to say, the cops were not impressed by the Jack rabbit starts and squaks BTW, all 24 had the tops down. 50 degrees and sunny.
After 5 hours of fun, i went back to my dealership for PDI and then drove till late this evening. Put around 150 miles on her today.
In a nutshell....WHAT A MACHINE. Worth the wait.

I have knocked off some mods off my list already. In one week i have put sequentail tail lights,.Painted calipers, Hood shocks, an Ipaq gps, painted and clearcoated Mustang kick plate and replaced crappy rear speakers whith the upgraded door speakers (thanx to Mark)
Next week she goes in for painted stripes, hood pins.
In the near future,(couple of weeks) doing the shorty headers and magnaflows.
Oh and less we not forget that 3d carbon boy racer hood I have on the go (whenever it gets finished welding).

BTW, Thanx Leslie. The silver and red combo add a little class to it.
