I have waved or given thumbs up to every single 05 I've seenwhile driving mine, not a single positive response yet. Now I feel likes it's my mission to get a wave back!
Hey Kev, I'll wave at you when I see you on the streets of Sacramento in a few weeks!

I always wave or give the thumbs up to ANY Mustang owner. Don't always get a response, but I don't let that stop me. Some people just don't appreciate what they've got. Most do!

Yeah. I have seen the same thing with vettes. Also, every single GTO driver I have passed, about 4-5, have waved. They have a higher percentage than other stang owners. How sad.

man I've seen all these 05 Stangs all over Jersey now, everytime I see them I give them the thumbs up, I only managed to get an excited woman driving a V6 conv. on 295 the one day, gave her the thumbs up and she opened her mouth wide in excitement and waved to me and gave me the thumbs up too, everyone else they either dont look at me, they look at me with a deep stare and the loook away, or they look at me and roll their eyes, what gives people???? Just tryin to give you a friendly 05 hi!

I always do something. Wave, beep, thumbs up, etc. Some people wave back or do sometihng back...some don't. I guess half the people that drive stangs are mustang enthusiasts and the rest just have money and want a fast car(these are the losers who rolls their eyes, or just scoff us off). Either way just enjoy your own ride

Idon't get to many peple giving me the thumbs up or anything, mostly stares...and I mean a lot of stares.

I passed a yellow 05GT and i gave him the thumbs up and a wave, but I got no response. I have gotten more response from people that have other cars. I was at the park on Sunday at a barbecue and two guys in an M3 stopped by my car and the passanger screamed, "that's the new mustang, that thing is hot", I just waved at him and they waved back.

I get most compliments from random people when I am sitting in a parking lot. 90% of the time, it is not Mustang drivers.

Not every Mustang owner is going to be a hardcore enthusiast, in fact most of the people with '05's won't wave to you because you are stealing their "attention"
Ya, they need to get over the fact that my car is better than theirs. I know I got over it pretty quick just kidding

Around my area we do the wave, kinda like the Jeep thing, if one doesn't wave back forget it, you really don't know what beauty of a car your drivin.

I think you really just have to chalk this up to some people are nice, and some aren't. Thing about the '05 is that unlike before, most non-Mustang people would've never considered buying a Mustang. With the '05, people are buying them now for reasons other than the love of Mustangs. Vanity, hot car of the year, and ego among others are reasons for the purchase. I feel that these people are the ones you'll get that won't wave, or even acknowledge other REAL '05 drivers on the road. I don't like the fact that these "people" if you will have managed to get their cars while REAL Mustang people are still forced in many cases to wait.

We all know there isn't a nice people or real Mustang people test to take at time of purchase, but wow, wouldn't it be nice?

Hey Chris, I'll look for you. Wasn't it you who took pics of mine one day and posted? That was cool, added a couple more things since. Meet me for a burger and a beer, we'll swap stories.

Adrenalin..I know the feeling.

MOST out my way do not wave back.

This one guy in a LL with black stripes GT wouldn't even look at me when he passed....and kept trying to pass and followme up highway 50.

Maybe he liked hearing the exhaust
and didn't like me blowing away from him to 165

It actually surprises me that there is a lack of comrodery among mustang guys, i even usually get a thumbs up back when i am driving my jetta, and its just a JETTA.

I always give the 05 guys a thumbs up, except that maverick kid...... he doesn't deserve it.. lol

Ever since the wife bought the 05 Black GT we've had nothing but good comments, people asking us to pull over to take a look at it, heck even had a Kit cobra ask me to pull over, he had to chase me down first though. Also one night a lady asked me to rev it up, as her husband was in the passenger seat and wanted to hear what it sounded like.

But I've always been one too tell others that they have a sharp car as well, and like most of you, I get this eye rolling thing... guess there just jealous of us that is all...

But I don't understand why other stang owners, esecially GT owners (not a V6 dig, just trying to narrow any possible reasons) would be jealous of other GT owners. I mean, mine is a vert, but big deal, anyone that could drop 27-28k could just as easily have dropped 30-31k on a vert. I just don't get it at all. I, as with most of you, always compliment a nice car, regardless of what it is. heck, the other day I saw an old fiero, but the guy had taken REALLY good care of it, and it looked great. I yelled over to him that it was really nice, and he had taken great care of it. I guess some people just aren't car people.
