Weird electrical/Shaker problem

Started up my car this morning and noticed that the clock was reset to 12:00, my CD player had to "initialize", and all of my custom audio settings were gone. Anyone else experience this? Not sure if it's a general electrical problem or Shaker specific.

Try putting it in "radio" mode (not CD mode) and pushing preset 3 and 6 together and holding them down...you'll enter diagnostic mode. the speakers will cycle through each one individually to check each speaker's output. Press the 2 preset and see if it has any DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes) for the radio. 3 is the radio signal strength...etc. If there's an electrical problem, it might show up in the DTC's.

Not a Shaker problem. Every time it cranks the radio resets. Probably just the battery as the car was sluggish when starting as well but I should find out today.

Sounds like the Shaker is losing the 12v from the battery. Mine only did that when I had unhooked the battery.

My guess is it's the battery taking a dump.

Mine did the same thing after sitting in the garage for a while. Now, I have a Battery Tender hooked up to it and all is well.

That happened to me on Shaker #2.
My solution was to replace it.

It was the battery dying a slow death. When I left the dealer I had less than 100 miles left on my warranty

Thank you, thank you... Did I call it or what?

To prevent this from happening again in the future, invest in a Battery Tender if you're not going to drive it daily.
