To all,

these forums have been very informative to me, and I thank you all for that.
I want to order an 05 GT in New Jersey. I am in the central NJ area.

Has anyone ordered an 05 in NJ?
If so, which dealership? Where should I order to minimize my waiting time?

Thanks for your help.

First off welcome to the forums. I live in northern jersey. I ordered my car through Family Ford in Netcong, NJ. The salesman there are really great guys. I ordered mine on Dec. 28th. and just a couple weeks ago i got a vin #. So hopefully within the next few weeks i should have my car. I figured to be around 3 months and its about that time now. Hope this helps.

I don't know if I can help out with minimizing the wait, but if you're in Central NJ I ordered my car from Rittenhouse-Kerr in Red Bank. They were the only dealer I came across that (1) was not marking up their Mustangs, and (2) accepted X-plan. Granted, they have quite a few cars on order ahead of me, but according to them I fall within their allocation and they are getting product in. Ask for Steve. Nice guy.

Good luck, and welcome to the wait!

Rob

If you live near Hamilton, NJ I ordered mine from Haldeman Ford. There are two of them, one is on Rt. 33 and the other is on Rt. 130. I got mine from the one on Rt. 130 they were really great and the wait wasn't bad.

i live in NJ...still waiting but the dealer is sending my updates in the mail right now(good news in those). Im in north jersey and i ordered from Pistilli Ford in Paramus. I dont think ur gonna be able to go anywhere that would minimize ur wait but just stay away from really small dealers. try oasis ford on rt 10 in old bridge (i think) and try some north jersey dealers. if u need some lemme know

I ordered mine from Nassau-Conover Ford Lincoln Mercury in Princeton, NJ. They are located on Rt. 206. They were pretty honest with me and never jerked me around with the order process. It took some haggling to get the deal I wanted (it was under MSRP), but I got it. They also gave me a break in price for copying keys. Ask for the salesman Bob Gruel and tell them Charlie, the guy who bought the 2005 Black GT from them, sent you over. That should help.

I would DEFINITELY stay away from Oasis Ford... they're selling them for 3k over sticker (and they're really snobby on the phone), and so are the Hadleman dealerships, at least when I checked a few months ago.

Let me know if ya visit Nassau-Conover! Good luck!

PM me if you want any more info/help.

Been driving in NJ a long time. HATE Dayton, sales and service. Oasis are another bunch of crooks. Nassau Conover does a nice job. I landed mine in Wayne, a bit of a drive, but real nice guys. Not sure I'd order. You might want to check Forddirect.com and find one on the lot.
