Check out this page, and put in your VIN number.

Mine comes up at a 05 GT. But under engine type it says-

Cylinders- 6
Liters- 4

WTF is this. My DORA shows a GT ordered. Can someone please put in there GT's VIN and see if it does the same thing....

I am freaking out.

In my VIN what does the 0 after the N mean? i got incrediably(sp?) confused after looking at ya'lls. i know the 5 after that 0 is for the model year so would it be as in "05"? because when i type that into the VIN decoder it saiys invalid VIN but when i replace the 0 after the N with a 1 it pops up and does not do this with any other number up to 9...only 1...does this mean that my misheard my dealer maybe and that 0 after the N should in fact me a 1?!

It is already known this decoder is not working correctly. Brad's still says coming soon. I understand most of the VIN, the but not all of it yet. So I look forward to his when ever it goes live so it will clear up the digits that are not entirely clear to me.

The VIN decoder is not working correctly. Download the 2005 pdf file and you can decode it yourself. The decoder does not do anything that you get get out of the pdf file. (It would be nice...)

My VIN's last 6 digits are 147622. Based on the pdf, it states ford cars may range from 100001 - 599999. So is my GT Coupe the 47,622 mustang produced? Does anyone have a convertible VIN number? I'm curious to see what sequence they start from. Maybe 200001?

The VIN will give you the engine code ie V6 or V8 but it will not tell you the source of the engine. The first character in a Vin will give you the vehicles country of origin 1 is for the USA, 2 is for Canada, J is for Japan and so on.
