IMO it really isn't that amazing. But a new thing for people to play with i guess. I'm not sure if it really makes it any quieter tho.

I'd like to see the door opened, so I can see the window come down.

I'd also like to see a few vids of someone messing with the My Color feature on the Instrument Cluster, or maybe just driving the car.

I can say from experience that this is the quietest Mustang I have ever had.

Here's a thread that has a video of the MyColor feature. The video link is on page 5 of the thread. Enjoy!

Its quite reliable, the computer simply tells the same motor the button uses to do it. It may get out of sync(ie from disconnecting the battery with the doors open), but it is easilly recalibrated in seconds. There is the standard rubber seal behind the glass, but it retracts behind a 'hard' plastic outter trim piece to mock a full-frame door window's sealing power and retains the classic frameless door style that makes a car's sides less cluttered looking. The old window simply laid on the rubber, and you could actually shove a pen through the foam seal on the corner. It was a nussiance for car washes because they always leaked in high-pressure wash/rince cycles, and frankly looked very sloppy. Where water gets in, so will air. The car is much quieter.

I think you all are missing the obvious, the purpose for that is because large coupes and convertibles create a lot of air pressure when someone slams the door shut. The BMW's have been doing this for years, as it prevents the seals from being blown out when the car is...finally, in the case of the Mustang and possibly a first for a domestic car...properly sealed to begin with.

My '00 328Ci (E46 chassis) did it, as did my '97 M3 (E36 chassis).

Good work Ford! That should give us all reason to hope that the car is nice and quiet and well sealed inside.

The added benefit is by being able to slide up behind the moulding, it may help with theft and also help reduce wind noise as well.

Josh

That is just a cool feature. When I test drove a V6, the salesman opened the door and was in shock. He opened the door 5-6 times just in awe.

That wasn't the only thing I had to explain to him on the new Mustang.

Which link, the first one, or the second one? With mine, you have to right-click and save-as (something to do with the way the web server is serving it up, I believe).

Is there an off switch? What if somebody wanted to tint the windows? Who knows, I might want to when I get my '09.

You should be able to tape the door sensor and/or remove the fuse according to the manual as per previous posts regarding this matter.
