Thanks for the reply. Guess "IUP" may take its place in Mustang Lore along with the Yeti, UFO's and Jimmy Hoffa

GottaHaveIt, I just wanted to respond to your question. I ordered a Sonic Blue one, not a red. Good luck with yours as well.

They don't schedule build dates. They schedule build weeks. The weeks are always posted as of the Monday of that week. That means that your car is scheduled to be built during the week of the 14th. Maybe Moday or Thursday. Who knows.
Hi I was wodering if I could borrow your cat as I have a neighbour that when he go's over to the mall he does not respect property as when I took my son to open his first account today there he was parked right beside a Bran New 2005 Black Gt and if it was'nt the lady doing our paper work , so I had my diggy cam and caught it then took my lap top in and asked for her e-mail ? sent her the picture and Wow the look on her face ! I hope that that never happen to the rest of us , but Mr. Murphy's Law will fix it so it does .
[/b][/quote]
? I...you want to borrow?...what...?..who's cat? ...the lady...?...eh?

Ouch my head! What happened here? Someone posting a reply and spill some spaghetti-o's?

Just in case you're not joking, he wants to borrow 6505's sniper cat to pay a visit to his disrepectful neighbor. If you were joking then forget you read this.

Ah, of course - the sniper cat (FUNNY avatar). Just didn't get the rest of the post - still don't know what the neighbor did (just park next to a new GT?).

And in the middle of the IUP thread - I'm no Thread ****, by any means, I just thought "Eh?".

celticstanger, I'm with ya. I had to read it several times to figure out half of what was being said... still don't get it all. Don't loose any sleep over it.

QUESTION:

Has anyone heard that Ford has setteled this lawsuit? I thougt I heard a rumor that they did.

I haven't see anything to suggest where it is currently at (the lawsuit). As long they're making the cars and everyone who's waited for one finally gets it, it's all good!

Hopefully we'll all be able to smile wistfully when the final verdict is made, as we head out in our shiny, IUP'd cars.

I have come to the conclusion that at this point, dealers that give you a line about your car not being produced until April or May just have allocation issues. Any blaming the delay on IUP anymore is just a load of crap.

WindveilS197 Hang in there , What works best for me at times is when I read some stories that I filter out all the bad parts of it , or just do something else . Your order is 13 days after my order was Dec 16 and just this week I was moved over to the lets think about this pile and got a Vin # and was told it will be built Feb21-Feb 28 week So I'm thinking yours will be close to March 14 or so ? when you really think of how many Ford dealers there are all having orders it can't6 be none to easy for the people that build them , I'd like to walk in there with a stack of Pizzas for them and would if I was closer . I just hope that they get it right and I don't get a lemon. So I'm still waiting as everyone else is.

Ordered GT Vert Nov 12th Silver, IUP, Red Int, Shaker 1000, Wheel upgrade, 5 SPD. Priority 10. Dealer specializes in trucks. Status as of today - "Bucked" Feb 15 builld date is locked in at factory!!! ETA Feb 24th. Wow! They must have made a mistake on the ETA date, but I'll take it if its for real. The IUP court date is Feb 28. Could the short delivery ETA have any thing to do with it? I noticed another post with IUP Vert build week of Feb 14th with a very short ETA. Comments?

Just a thought on this subject.

I wonder if FORD is delaying the build of the GT models to try a sell more of the V6 models. As near as I can tell, the V6 models are not selling well. I drive by a local dealer every day and his V6 inventory seem to be growing ( i.e. not selling )and he has no GT models...

I read several articles that FORD expected to sell 6 to ten V6's for every GT. I do not think that has proven to be true....

Ah if they have too many V6's they can just allocate them to the car rental companys as the ones that Deal with ford products all want them and I'm sure not too many GT's cause If they rent those it'll be expensive or they will drive the C-ap out of them.

Ok, I ordered my 05 stang on 11/11/04. All I know at this point is that my order is listed as an active order. I spoke with my salesman on 2/11 and all he could do was tell me that it was active. He did add that they had just gotten a sonic blue gt without the IUP earlier in the week that actually would have been my car. Now I have a funny feeling that he took off the IUP when he heard about the delay thinking that I would have changed my mind and when I didn't, he had to re-order the car in January. I have noticed that lots of others that ordered around the same time that I did now have tenative dates. Does anyone know of another way that I can check my order without going through my salesman? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

You can contact Ford Customer Serivce through Ford's website and they can check the satus for you. You just need some info on your order.

LilEleanor. You might want to edit your post and remove the phone number. It's not supposed to be posted as it is a dealer only phone number. I'd advise removing it before some of the 'not-so-nice' guys on this board see it and start a flame war. I don't care, just offering advise.

Sorry to hear it. I ordered mine 12/04 and picked her up 01/21. Sounds like your dealer screwed up! How do they get away with that? Oh yeah, they control the cars.
