Lil Eleanor, what dealer did you order from here in Cincinnati? I ordered a GT w/ IUP on 1/22 from Woody Sander. Just wondering, as others have stated, I think its all about the allotment that your dealer gets from Ford as far as how soon you will see it.

Don't believe any of this, except for what you get with IUP Lite. This sticky we're posting in tells exactly what's happening. You get the straight skinny here on TMS!

Visited one of the local dealers here and was told that you can not order the IUP. They stated that option is gone for good...

Of course, I believe Brad and you guys more than them. They were also telling me you can't get the red interior .. blah, blah. Then they wanted me to buy this black GT off the lot and they got really pushy as well.

Needless to say I did not buy that one and don't believe I am going to kill myself going back there.

Just wanted you guys to hear what one dealership is saying. .. and that was not from just the salesman, I also talked to two different managers as well with the same story.

MilStang, don't go for their BS. The IUP and ICAP are both available. It will just take longer to get them. I have been holding out for a long time to get what I want. If you "settle" for something else, you will be kicking yourself in the butt for not waiting in the long run.

For what it's worth, I ordered my GT with IUP on December 30 at Prince Frederick Ford in Prince Frederick, Maryland. My salesperson told me today that my car is scheduled to be built on February 7 with IUP!

That's sweet! Since I ordered a few weeks after you, hopefully that means that mine will be scheduled sometime in the next month.

Hello all. I have been a member for a while now, but this is my first post in this forum. I love all of the info that this site and the forums provide. I ordered my Mustang GT on Dec. 11th with IUP, and I have been worried almost as long that I won't get what I ordered. However, with all of the recent news I'm optimistic. I am happy that some of you have received a build date. I have called my salesman a few times, but he still says it is on hold and has no other info to give me. I would definitely hold out for the IUP though. I think the difference is like night and day. Good luck to all of those that are in the same situation as me. If anyone else gets build dates please shar them with us. I'm curious to know. Thank you.

Just an update on my order w/IUP from Oct.12th. It was submitted to plant on Jan.21st, given a VIN and now has been scheduled for production the week of Feb.7th. Don't give up, they are catching up.

I got my 05GT about 3 weeks ago and the sales person said my car was one of the last ones produced with my color, due to this issue. I'm happy for you guys and gals cause it's a hot option.

I ordered on 11-2 with IUP and my build week was this week and as of Friday it is on a convoy here in MD. So hopefully in a week or so I will be a proud new daddy! So hold out, they're coming!

Just wanted to let you know what some of them were saying. I am going to hold out and get exactly what I want.

Hoping to get on the list for the Pony Drive production, so I have plenty of time for them to line up everything.

I agree that the car is just not the same without the IUP.

I work at a Ford Dealership as the Parts Manager and I have
an 05 GT on order with the IUP. On our weekly commodity report
I read the following.
There will be no scheduling of the following:

GT with manual transmission (99H/44K)
V6 with manual transmission (99N/44F)

The interior upgrade package (18G) will not be available until
further notice on V6 coupes and is still EXTREMELY LIMITED on
the Mustang GT. Mustang GT allocation is extremely limited as well.

I hope they get this whole mess figured out soon. I will post info as
I get it from our sale manager.

Welcome...great to have you posting here! Where are you located? Aren't the weekly commodity reports regional?

Not that I don't believe you, but I thought that the commodity reports gave specific percentages of what was being built. Sounds kinda fishy and vague to just say "extremely limited."
