Updated Times 06GT Auto

Cross posted from Stangnet....

Pretty busy night at Race City, only got 2 runs in as I had work to do and it was almost an hour between runs :-0.

Density Altitude was on average better than it has been for a long long while and that aside I ran my two new best runs tonight. Only difference from my runs in July was the addition of the Steeda Underdrive pullies and in this case I had nearly 5/8 a tank of fuel which is way more than I typically run (no more than a quarter tank). Both runs were with full street setup with regular air pressure, seats and mats are in place and my spare and jack are in the trunk. Here are my new times and my times from late July when I ran last. Anyone that says underdrive pullies don't do much are oh so very wrong...

Numbers in bold are best of the night.

Pretty darn happy needless to say, I should get this thing dyno'd. I really wonder what I would have run with my regular quarter tank of gas and maybe a little less weight, **** you DQ ultimate burger!!!

And in case you're wondering, uncorrected and completely stock my car ran in the middle of July in 2006 (with 1000kms on it)

.221 R/T
2.234 60'
6.253 330'
9.519 1/8th ET
76.52 1/8th MPH
12.337 1000'
14.721 1/4 ET
95.50 MPH

And who knows what the D/A was that night, but compared to my uncorrected numbers from these last two trips just the C&L with Brenspeed 93 Tune and the Steeda UDP are making a huge difference!

Thanks Tom, in the Ultimate Burger's defence it was delicious.

I really want to crack those's 13's@100 in Calgary and 12's Corrected now that I'm that close. I'm going to try and make it out weather permitting end of Sept, first week of October (usually close mid Oct.) and go with as little gas as I can and take out everything easily removable.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the increase you saw was primarily from the better air, not the pullies. They might have made a slight difference, but the air made more I would bet.

A few days ago I was at the track and was running very consistent 14.1, 14.08, 14.15...etc. The last run was a 13.87, and we had a long cool down period. My intake temps were WAY down from the other runs. I couldn't believe how much difference the cooler intake made.

The cooler air helped a bit I'm sure, it was only 4^s cooler but it can help. If you look at the temps in my first run it was still 28 degrees, by no way cool. and in both cases the car was at normal operating tems. We can say it was a combo of the two but the pullies are helping.

What are the correction factors you are using? Those look a little inflated

And furthermore why are you using any correction factors at all? Who cares?
Sorry, you can't claim you have a xxx second car based on a correction factor. It's pure speculation and quite frankly a load of horse poop.

What's important is what your car actually does. So you have a low 14 second car. At your altitude, that's doin good. Don't feel inadequate because of the times you see posted everywhere. I'll bet more than half of those are fabrications anyway Anyone gives you any crap, just have them come to Alberta and put their money where there keyboards are
