Trunk Unlocks When Unlocking Mustang
just a wild guess; but sounds like the key fob is acting a bit flaky . . . has the battery in the key been changed, since it was new? I'd probably pop a fresh battery in there first and see if that stops it; it is cheap and easy to do and if the problem persists you can move on to more expensive and difficult things

Did your car come with 2 fobs?
Try the other one if you have it.
If not check the battery. Pop in a new one.
If not open the fob up and check the solder points. I know a lot of them seems to crack and need to be resoldered.
