Trip update (pony drive of my own)
Well, here I am in Montana after approx. 2600 miles of highway and city driving, I've gotten an average of 21.2 mpg. The car is still loving every bit of it, and I will be changing the oil out on her today. I've decided to name my car Stormfront. I was thinking about going with Cloud 9, but after some hard thinking while I was on the road decided against it. Isn't it amazing what crosses the mind at 80 mph going down the highway? The theme of the car will be thunder and lightning so I wanted to get a name that involved the two. Anyhow, I'll hopefully have some pics up within a few days from the American Dream Garage in Des Moines, IA. I didn't get any real touristy type geographic pics, since about half the time I was driving in anywhere with good scenery, it was pitch black outside. Hopefully on the last leg of the trip to Washington I'll be able to post up some better pics for y'all. Everything has been going good, the wife wants to trade in her 03 Durango for a new stang now. I told her to wait and we'll trade the Durango on my 07 cobra. I guess we'll see how that one goes.
Born and raised in western MT, so curious about how that part of your trip went. Hope you stopped in Butte for a pork chop sandwich or maybe a pasty!
I lived in Seattle for ~8 years and have done the I90 from there to western MT and back in many sorts of weather conditions ('79 Trans AM and '88 Bronco for most of the trips). Hopefully 4th of July pass and Snoqualmie are treating you well this time of year.
