Trip Tunes Advance - 08 Mustang

Can anyone who has ordered this, please give feedback on it. My dealers don't know much about how it operates, and I'd like to hear from actual users.

Thanks, Jim

Cool

Hi, I can't tell you how it works but what I can tell you is because I ordered it it had to go to MNVO Woodhaven to be installed which can add between 1-4 weeks to your order...1-4 weeks for a $50.00 items seems to be ridicules. Had the dealer told me that when I ordered it I never would have ordered that item.

We are pretty happy with it. Navigating the iPod isn't as easy as I had hoped but do-able with practice. My only complaint is that it keeps the iPod's LCD backlight on with the Ford logo on it constantly. We have to remember to take it out or disconnect it when not in the car to avoid permanently burning the image into the LCD.

Can't you just go into the iPod's settings and choose No Backlight? It might still have the Ford logo but at least it won't burn in...

Justin, Speed, Doug - Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful. I'm with Doug, if the dealer can't install it themselves without extending the delivery date by one week max, I don't want it. I've found another after market product at the thread below, for consideration.

Roley, you may want to look at the previous after market thread, since this is a dealer installed option this year.

No, I really wish you could though. You can only control it from the stereo head unit display.

I don't believe there is such a factory option.

I seem to remember my dealer saying it was not an option with the Nav head unit... Can anyone verify that?
