Hey everyone,

I may have found two puddles of transmission fluid on my garage floor. One puddle is about 4-5 inches in diameter and the other is about 1-2 inches. When I soaked some of it up with a paper towel it had a pinkish/red color to it.

I just picked my car up last wed (the 20th), and the car only has 180 miles on it.

I plan on taking it in asap, but I wanted to know if this is definately a trans problem and how urgent the problem may be.

Any info will help. Thanks.

Justin

I just want to know if that fluid I found is transmission fluid or something else.

Info would be much appreciated!

Was leak on the passenger side, it is trans fuild. The factory clamp at rubber hose to metal tubeing needs to be replaced with a screw clamp. There are two of them at same location. May as well do both.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't oil. Seemed to far back under the car, almost under the seats, and it wasn't a tan/brownish color.

I think I remember something like that on a previous thread. If all I need are new screw clamps, then I'll be VERY relieved.

The puddles seem almost in the middle of the car, but I noticed the puddles after I pulled the car out of the garage and I may have pulled it back into the garage differently then the first time.

I also found a very small puddle under car- pink fluid - Sure it is trans fluid - automatic. Took to dealer - all was dry underneath, no sign of a leak anywhere and fluid was good. Never happened after that. Took possession of vehicle on April 28th, 2005
