Welcome to TMS! Why do you want to change the fluid? Is it shifting bad? How does the fluid look? Is it still a red/pinkish color or nasty brown? If it's still red in color your fine. Nasty brown, I would only do a drain and fill if you're going to do anything. Don't flush it. I had a Lincoln Mark VIII years ago and did a flush and it started slipping. 3 weeks later it needed a rebuild. As for a good power adder, a cold air intake and tune will give you the best bang for your buck.

Since there is no dipstick there isn't any method to check the fluid color. The automatic is a sealed unit. Won't know the color until he drains it - and then will need to refill the transmission anyway.

There is a procedure and special tool you need to refill the transmission - not something you can get done at the local quick oil change place.
