will 07 gt500 shocks, struts, springs, and sway bars fit a 05 v6?
will 07 gt500 shocks, struts, springs, and sway bars fit a 05 v6?
just wondering seen a really good deal online for all these parts and was curious if it would bolt right up or not and how much a difference it would make?
Yep, would bolt right on but I think that you would be heading right into a bad handling situation. The GT500 suspension is balanced around two things - staggered front and rear tire sizes on the same width rims and a big ol' honk'n 700 pound V8 hanging up front. One at the very least your car does not have.
Would those beefy swaybars and those shocks (perhaps paired with better springs for the V6's ride height) really not help much? forgive me if I'm missing something crucial about the S197 or Gt500s, but how harmful could that really be?
People have been putting beefier swaybars at the very least on cars for quite a while. I've never read about any car having issues with borrowing its big brother's swaybars. I feel like it can't hurt, despite the fact that there is a difference in motor weight. the swaybars on my II were standard on V8s, but not on V6s, yet mine had them on and it certainly helped that car feel planted.
another non S197 example, but there used to be a guy here with an 01 Bullitt and CCWs that swapped in terminator suspension front and rear.to The DOHC motor weighs a fair bit more than the SOHC, but I remember he cut half a coil IIRC in the front and I don't remember him mentioning any problems.
And not that I'd recommend cutting a coil, but he could probably get springs designed to lower the V6 in addition if it really was an issue.
Again, forgive any ignorance (and rambling) that may be showing here. I'm genuinely curious about this.
And as a side note, for $250 I'd give try it for the shiggles
worst comes to worst you can take it off and probably sell it again for the same
