Train carrying my Stang is flooded in!!!

So my old lady and I have been waiting for our 07 Vista Blue GT/CS for 12 weeks now, when I get an email from our dealer who got an email from Ford with this information:

Good Afternoon,
The purpose of this email is to inform you of expected delays of inbound rail cars with SW Region units on them. Many of rail yards that Ford utilizes are under water, as well as the railcars themselves. They are attempting to recover and divert as many railcars as possible, but there still hundreds of our units stranded in flooded rail yards across the Midwest and farther north. In some cases, complete trains of new vehicles are trapped by flood waters. Please view attached photos. These photos actually show SW Region rail cars stranded in the flooding.
Please advise your sales staff of possible delays due to massive flooding in the states north of Texas. UPS Logistics is doing everything possible to get the vehicles to us. Dallas and Houston ramps have already seen a reduction of inbound rail cars arriving at the ramps.
Have a great weekend!!!!

Here's one of the pics. I am about to beat myself up waiting for this car!!!!!!!

Wow that really blows. It's likely the car itself is still dry, but who knows when they'll be able to pull the railcars out of there. Good luck man.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. But look on the bright side. It couldve been that you couldnt take delivery cause your house was under water.

Well, it is highly unlikely that the car itself was damaged, only the train. Here's the latest email from my dealer:

Sounds like bad news. However I have called OPC in your behalf to found out if your mustang was affected by all the flooding in the midwest. I was informed that it was due at the final ramp by wednesday or thursday. Because of flooding there has been some delay in arrival but no damage whatsoever to your mustang. Again, thanks for your patience.

Thank the Lord Jesus!!!

You're right. At least my house wasn't underwater. I've already been scared out of my mind about that happening during Hurricane Rita two years ago!

I was gonna say, none of those rail cars look like car haulers. I would check out your stang very closely, especially underneath. If it's been close to water it will have weeds hanging over the brake lines ETC. Make sure they did not spray any scent to cover mold smell. Keep us posted.

After showing a pic like that, then telling you to have a great weekend is wrong.I'd be going down to the dealer and find out who wrote stupid letter. That would cancel the deal.Especially if your new Stang was sitting in water. Its a good thing your Stang wasn't damaged.

My wife and I have been tracking the railcar that has our Mustang using the railcar number. For those of you waiting on an order, go to Blue Oval Forums and you'll find out how to track it.

Apparently our long-awaited car is in Oklahoma now. Dealer says it will be here Wednesday or Thursday, but the info we got online mentions an ETA of 7/18. Oh well. Keep moving south!!!

I'll let everyone know if there was any sign that it was in water.

Woops! Selective reading, still the dealer forwards this letter to him from Ford.I'd still have been worried the car was messed up.After waiting twelve weeks you start going nuts waiting. Its a happy ending with the car coming, now its mod time.

Well, it's technically my wife's car (her daily driver), but I'm like a kid in a candy store too. I've got Flowmaster AT's, chrome pedals, 14" shorty antenna, Raggtopp vert top cleaner, AVIC D-3 Nav system, and moleskin waiting here in my house for this car! Not long after that, I intend to get the JLT II and XCal II from Doug at Bama. It is an auto (what she wanted), and from all I've read on this and other forums for the last 4 months, Doug's tunes really open up an auto. I can't wait to try out the now famous Race Tune that I keep reading about. I just hope he gets help with his business and I'm able to contact him. Seems like his business is booming and he's having a hard time keeping up with demand (returning all calls, emails, etc.), from all that I've read.
