I just got word fom the E.R.L. that my vista blue automatic GT is locked in for production the week of 09-11-06 and will be delivered the week of 09-19-06. It was ordered on 07-25-06.Also,another dealer told me if it came in before 10-02-06 that I was elibible for the $500 dealer cash plus the $500 X-Plan Rebate, for a total of $1,000 off X-Plan price. Can anybody else on here verify this is true? Thanks.

I just checked Ford's AXZ plan website and there is no mention of any offers or rebates on the '07 models. The dealer cash is something only they would know about and would not be publicized. If you can get both, go for it!

Same here.... Got the $500 X-Plan, but no mention of an additional rebate, and when I looked on Ford's site using my zip code, the only thing that came up was a big fat $0.

Regarding the X-plan, I heard that the dealer is not allowed to add on Documenting Fees, etc. According to my quote they threw it on of course. I have an ETA of week of Sept 11th so when I go in there I'd like to have something in writing proving that.. Does anyone have a link to where Ford states this rule? Thanks

Here is the information right from Ford's Xplan website (members only):

The dealership may also NOT charge separately for document preparation fees, vehicle preparation fees or any other administrative services incidental to the delivery of the vehicle.*These expenses are considered to be part of the dealer's normal cost of doing business for which the dealership is compensated by the commission paid.
* Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations. Dealers may not charge different fees to participants in the New Vehicle Purchase Plans (AXZ-Plans).

I bought an 07 GT premium in July

total MSRP: 29,915
x-plan: 27,885
no other incentives.

i believe the X_plan formula works like this, it's the A_plan price plus 4% plus $150

Some states have laws which cap the documentation fee that dealers may charge, so you see $35. Other states do not, and it is not unusual for some dealers to stick people for $300-$500...which is a huge deal. Your dealer was not supposed to charge you the $35..

Also, where is the website regarding an additional $500 off the X-plan price? I haven't heard of this rebate and would like to throw that at them too of course.

The website is http://www.axz.ford.com but you have to be an employee to get an ID and password. Here's another thing I found on the site:

11. Can I be charged a "document fee" (doc fee) by my dealer?
No. Fees for document preparation or similar administrative services are not allowed.* If the dealer charges you a documentary fee please call 1-800-348-7709 and report the issue.
* Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations. Dealers may not charge different fees to participants in the New Vehicle Purchase Plans (AXZ-Plans).

The $500 X-plan cash is something the dealers only know about. You have to ask, or better yet, tell them you know about it. Otherwise they'll pocket the cash.
