I dont think too many run that size, those look like light truck tires.

Just something to remember, those are H rated tires, which means they are only rated for 130mph. Granted with your V6 you are not likely to ever see that kind of speed, but I don't know what you have planned for the car either. Just something to be mindful of.

a 275/50/17 will fit on the rear. If you're going for a staggered fitment, it will work. I run that size, but in a different brand that's V speed rated.

Nitto NT 450's -- 275/50/17 out back, 255/50/17 in front. Car lowered with Eibach springs.

and the tire calculator I was using only showed the tire in question. How wide are your rims and how much have you lowered? Would the 275s work all around without lowering on my 8x17 bullits?
Anybody else sized up? show me your stuff.

The V6 16" comes with a T rated tire, so at least the move to H is upwards.
But its a move downwards from the pony package/GT stock Z rated. Overkill for the V6 as far as speed ratings go on the V6.
You could go 140 in an H rated tire, just don't hold that speed for long.
Speed ratings are meant for a sustained speed of...........
Don't want the heat build up.
Also note, you said the stock 235/50/17. Stock is 235/55/17, redo your tire size calculator.

I want something between 1/2 to 1 inch in overall diameter than stock.

How do you like those nittos? They get bad reviews on discounttire.com. I want a taller tire in the rear, but the options are slim to none. Your car looks great with those tires.

They do what I want them to do
They wear quite quickly, I seem to get about a good 25k out of them before the traction is about gone.
I'd describe them as a good overall performance tire. They feel solid enough on mountain switchbacks, they're not too stiff. I'm overall satisfied with them.
Are there better tires? I'm sure there are, but not in this size and speed rating that I can find anywhere.
For 1-70 West:
These are on 17x9 rims. Don't know if I would want to try the 275's on 17x8's
And these are the diameter you are looking for, but I would NOT run these on the front. I've seen someone who did... it wasn't flattering by any means.
