Keep it. I've had mine for 3 years 3 months and 55,500 glorious miles. I'm not going to get rid of it just to get something that's newer but not better. I'll also have mine paid of in ~18 months and have no intention of getting something new.

I still love the car as much as I did the day I picked it up. You seem to have the same sentiments. Explain to me again why you would consider getting rid of it?

i say keep it and pay it off.

then trade it for the 2010 if you like them more, or just buy one then and have 2 stangs!!!

either way having it paid off will put a bigger smile on your face than having a few extras on an 08

Gas is going to get a lot more expensive at some point in the future. Here's my plan- pay off my 07 and buy an econo-box to replace the stang as my daily driver. Pop a supercharger on the stang and only take it out on nice days when I need to de-stress

Keep it and wait a few years. It is going to be cheaper to keep the car then to buy another car and have the payments as well as the depreciation hit.

Right now your car is probably worth more then you owe, that would not be the case with a new one.

+1 thats what I would do. 35 k at that rate she will have about 46k. You may not have alot of problems and need work done to it, as it appears you baby the car.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I've been keeping an eye on the 08 Subaru WRX STI. I may just trade in the 07 GT and pay off the difference for the STI.

Keep It and see what the 2010 looks like. These things are well built and if you take care of it then it should last a long time. I wouldn't worry too much about unexpected repairs just yet.

Why get one of those? 37k for a car that's about as fast as a Mustang GT?

I don't get it!

Wow.. this thread has been alive for a while. Thanks for the comments everyone. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do just yet, but I'm at least getting a quote on a new one. If I decide to replace mine, it'll be a new GT coupe with the FR 400hp S/C and handling package. Yes I know you can do better & probably cheaper, but I like having a warranty for the off chance something blows up. That's my luck.

I am hoping to just keep our GT as a fun, occasional car. That is the way it is now. Just buy a cheap beater and keep the Stang in the garage.

I'm at the same place with mine. I picked her up in April 05. Took her in for an oil change this morning and test drove a new one. I think I will keep my car, strap on some new tires and after I make that last payment, look how much money I will have for mods.
