Curiouser and Curiouser Said Alice
Called the dealer today, and he said that my Mustang is in Material Hold because of a tie rod recall. The tie rod needs to be replaced before they will ship the car. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:
I told him if it's not here by 9/1, I will order an 06.
I want the car, but it's getting to the point that it makes more financial sense to order an 06 already.
I just wish it would get here so I can drive it while we still have a little summer left. It's alread flirting with night time lows in the 40s and next week we will be lucky to break 70.

You have an '05 STILL on order?!
I remember several months ago we all joked about some '06 guys would get their cars before the last of the '05's, but I honestly didn't think it would really happen!
I think I'd have to order an '06 if I could get it at the same price. Your car's already a year old and you haven't even gotten it yet.

are you driving your car in the winter? If you are, don't cancel but if you don't plan on driving it, cancel the order and order an 06.
One way to look at it is since 06's are starting to show up soon your 05 is automatically worth a lot less once you drive it off the lot.

I know this has probably already been covered... but haven't they stopped 05 production and gone to 06? I know there's already some 06's w/ the Pony Package hitting dealer lots, so are they producing the different model years side-by-side?

The car was the next to last order for dealer stock, one ahead of the red GT I had ordered. My red GT was balanced out, so the dealer offered me the black one that I am waiting on. It was built on 6/1, and we both expected the car before the 4th of July. Instead it has been stuck in this material hold status. It probably will be the last 05 delivered.
