No problem Limer!! What does a brake light pulser do and where did you get it from? I know it pulses but when does it pulse?

i think i got it from moss and it flashes 3 times when you brake. very subtile..pretty much just to try and prevent being rear ended

We just did the tie rods on our 06 v6 s197 at 145k miles. I got a pair of outter tie rods, got it all done and noticed there was still a slightly "clunk" when I turned the wheel back/forth slightly. Turns out one of the inner tie rods had some slop in it..

I picked up a pair of Moog inner tie rods off amazon.com and 2 days later I had them installed in about 1 hour (once I had the car up in the air and tires off). There were no special tools to do the inner tie rods.. Just a 1 5/16 (might have been 1 7/16") wrench. Just turn the wheel some to the side you want to replace and it pushes it out enough to get a normal wrench on it (I used a pipe wrench on the first one).

Thanks for the tip Mark. Did you have a wobble in your steering wheel at speed?

No, the front end, to me, felt tight but I drive a 2000 honda civic as my DD or a 4x4 van or a '92 explorer setup for wheeling. Yolanda drives the mustang. The mustang steering etc is so much tighter and nicer than all the other vehicles that the mustang would have to be pretty bad for me to notice. I did notice more clunking up front on the dirt road. Its better now but I'm sure some bushings should be replaced including sway bars end links.

I'm surprised the front end is as tight as it is after 145k miles (4 miles every day is dirt).. I started looking into the tie rods when I started to feel it pull to the right on day I got the privilege to drive it ... While looking under there I saw the ripped outer tie rod boots and tried to go cheap by only replacing the outers..

I managed to get the toe pretty decent by hand but I can see the camber is slightly off (I got camber bolts from amazon too).. I guess at 145k miles its time for its first alignment.

Thats the outter, the one by the tire. The left and right ones are the same. The inner tie rod looks a lot different.

The moog # for the inner is ev80804. I dont know the motorcraft #.

Smart doing it yourself. The service guy brought me out to show me the tie rod boots are starting to crack when I had my oil changed. He said they could replace and align for $300, ouch!

I looked up the parts on RockAuto and they are only $22 each. I'll probably tackle this in the next few months and save myself $150.

I bought my "moog" tie rods (inners and outers) from Amazon.com. Since I have amazon prime it was free 2nd day shipping..

Thanks for the heads up on Amazon, didn't think to look there.
I might go ahead and do the inners too since it will be apart.
