basically what the topic says, are there any water issues with the cervinis ram air hood? I have the JLT cai and need a hood to replace some hail damage. I really want the hood but if there are water issues I would like to know beforehand

thanks

I have a cervinis ram air hood, mine is a daily driver, no problems with water except the mess. Water spots on the engine... but any car driven in rain will end up with them. I have a K&N intake, it sits enough on the side not to have water hitting it direct.
Save your money on the "ram air" piece, it only works with the stock air box.

I have that hood with the western motorsports intake so it actually is direct ram air and the water has straight access to my filter. I haven't had any problems and I've driven it in the pouring rain.

I had the same question, Its my daily driver, I have a C&L CAI, if rain the water will hit direct on it... how can we be sure water is not getting in throught the filter?
I have only 3 weeks with my hood...

Look at my setup. I'm positive some water is making it into the filter. I guess what I'm saying is a bit of water into the intake isn't a big deal.
