The V6 is a good option for girls or people who can't afford the GT ..

.
Soooooo.....are you saying that a GT is too much car for a girl?
What I am saying is I have spoken to ford salesmen, and the girls inquire about the V6 much more.. He said, guys inquire about the GT 95% or more of the time as compared to women ..

With that said, I laugh at people like the previous poster who mentioned the V6 is the same as the cobra .. What a joke.. And what an inferiority complex a person must have to put a cobra sticker on the front of their V6 .. LMAO !!!

RANT ON!
He done went and made me mad..................

Holy mother! Folks I believe I am fixin a lock this thing down. He done made me mad, cause when they talk crap about a v6- that means they are talking crap about Eleanor, and that just isnt gonna happen with me around here......

Listen up!

If you were blessed enough to actually own a mustang, which by your signature- you arent-Then you might have a little room to talk......but since you don't have one and it seems you want to do little else but put em down, lemme tell you a thing or two!!!!!!
I have waited on this car- lets see, MY ENTIRE LIFE.I raised my kids so they wouldn't ruin it, I saved, made things to sell to make money and worked my fingers to the bone for it. I researched, hunted down and spent every single second of my life when I was not working or taking care of my family making this thing happen.
I looked at every single one of these cars to hit within 50 miles of me,stalked out dealerships, read every article- had articles written on me, Drove a million miles just to sit in and drive one, asked humpeteen questions of all of you(thanks again for putting up with me) and agonized every single second about this car. I bought every magazine out there, aggravated my family, and did little else but plan this car out for MONTHS now. After all of it I decided to go with the v6. NOT BECAUSE I AM A FRIGGING FEMALE! BUT because I can, and I like it.
You know why I like it? Because it appeals to me......
I like the pony badge on the back better than the GT one.....
I like that I have 200 some horses under my hood.......
I like that I am comfy with that because I am not a stock car driver.....
I like the spoiler and stripes.....
I like the way she growls at you when shes drivin- this aint no go cart
I like blasting off from redlights
I like getting the attention a yellow sports car brings me
I like that I have one sitting here- and you don't. So quit your complaining about my v6.
I like my very loud stereo.
I like my steering wheel.
I like my green gauge lights at night.
I like my dashboard.
I like my cupholder.
I like my backseats.
I like the fact that my mustang can send your minivan to bed crying without me lifting a finger to make it happen
I like that my car payment is like $200 cheaper than a GT
I like that I can afford to have zero deductibles on my insurance.
I like my car, so when you talk crap about her, that extends to me and that makes me angry. So, put up or shut up about it. You aren't getting a mustang, you are not interested in owning one- so go back to the rock you emerged from and leave us be.
And you can be warned by any one poster on here- I love my car.........so you can just leave her alone.

I dislike the new V-8 because it has a Wicked weak bottom end

I don't like NY.
Do you like anything?
Yah, 03-04 cobras and any of the V-8 mustangs. (non mustang 2) I also love all Fords current products except for the Fungus.

That is really just sad. People who feel the need to show disrespect towards others to try and make a point are really just trying to make up for their lack of a decent vocabulary, and are actually illiterate in their own way. So, I wouldn't be making fun of other people.

Not to mention, if you feel your car is "cooler" than the next persons it supposedly gives you some pass to insult them? My first car was a 73 mach-1 with a drag racing history that had been converted back to street use when her glory days on the strip were done! And, the car was so powerful it was diffcult to get to hook up on any kind of tire.

I KNOW that you have likely not even sat in anything with that kind of heritage let alone owned one. So now, does that mean that I can make fun of you?

Loser

Why didn't you say that to begin with instead of saying the V6 was the right car for a girl? It sounds like someone it trying to do a little spin control....

Is that a reason to do away with the V6? I'd say anyone that thinks so is pretty short-sighted IMO.
Without the V6 sales, V8 Mustangs would cost signficantly more than they do now.
How do u figure? prove it? I am lost with that statement?

In business school they taught us about economies of scale in Economics 101. Here is the very short version. The more I make of something the cheaper it is to make, and therefore cheaper for me to sell to you.

I would not put Cobra badging on a V-6 car myself, but that is my preference and every person has their own. And, it is certainly not something worth insulting somebody else over personally.

My mother taught me long agon that if you do not have anything nice to say, don;t say anything. Unless, somebody is being rude that is. Especially to a lady.

dont get me wrong ppl. im usually a mild tepered dude. but V6 haters **** me off like heck. you have no idea. its still a mustang. its still got that great heritage, its just a smaller little brother of our beloved GT.

do you view your younger siblings as pure failures in life that should be banned from society just for being the smaller one? dont think so. same thing applies with the Mustang Family.

and for u V8 owners i have a Q: if you had a Cobra would you bash the GT for having less power?

i've never seen a cobra owner bash the GT. ever. why should the bashing happen to the V6?

and the same goes for ALL negelected stangs: the 2.3L, the II, all of them. no matter what. as long as its a mustang, it should be respected for being a mustang. thats all there is to it. Just live and let live. Be happy your V8s are still even alive.

shame on you for hating the V6

*note: this post applies to all V6 haters, not any single person in particular
i think the V-8 will stay forever, or at least it better. I would never make fun of a
V-8 powered Ford, unless it was ricerized or a Fungus.

Yes, and being a former Cobra owner myself, it was rude of her to say the V6 is the "same" as a cobra .. Very rude IMO.

It's very simple: the V6 is the money maker that makes the V8 models possible. Without it, sales would be too low to keep the Mustang viable. Want an example: Camaros and Firebirds. The V6 models never sold well and well, you know the rest of the story....

Um, there is a difference between being rude and giving your opinion. You can do one without the other. Saying you feel a V-6 is like a Cobra is an opinion. Saying somebody has mental issues because they put Cobra badges on a V-6 is rude.

Does the original poster still wonder if there are "V-6 haters" out there? lol

I just do not get it with the anti V-6 people. I will say, I am abit dissapointed that even Ford seems to take a "the V-6 is the car for people who cannot afford a GT approach", but I think the did a much better job on the 05 and potential oozes from this car.

As a matter of fact, I intially planned to buy a GT come spring, but recently decided I would buy a V-6 instead. Why. For one the car is well over 4-grand cheaper than a comparable GT optioned the way I want it. Secondly the insurance is cheaper and this and the payment come out to about 150 dollars difference a month.

That is nearly a 2-thousand dollar a year difference (I did not include the better mileage the V-6 will get either), and for that amount of money I just might be tempted to void the daylights out of my warrant and try to throw together a Cosworth headed 4.0L DOHC V-6 for the car!

That, a set of 18" wheels, the GT's rear sway bar, and we are in business.
and not only that, you would have something different!
