I'm very happy with the car. It has the leather dash, I can live with the hood and the Shelby on the left side only. Everything else is the way I expected it, I even like the dark gauges and the big meaty tires.

 

I prefer the dark gauges with MyColor. I'm not a fan of the SHELBY lettering on back though. Could have looked better IMO. I think the hood looks good with the stripe.

Can't wait to see pics, specs, & most important... price and insurance rates!!!

I sincerly hope that this car will be attainable.

 

Let's hope that's not the final product! I'm still not keen on the hood. While the original concept hood was still ugly, it was way better than this monstrosity that's only good for the aftermarketers. The new Shelby on the back is a huge improvement, but the fitment of the spoiler is incredibly poor!! :notnice: Too bad they couldn't get enough twin screw S/Cs. And I wonder if they'll make any coupes without stripes.

And after my little rant, I still want one. And if the 'vert is under $40k, too, that's an incredible steal! then again, when does msrp reflect reality?

I am "on the list" at a large Ford Dealer here in Central Texas. How long do you think it'll be before they'll be ready to take official orders (specs, color, etc.)? Also, do you think there will be a hood stripe delete option?

All Shelby's will come without stripes. I will almost guarantee it'll be a dealer added option.

Oops, I should've clarified myself. Stripes on top will be dealer add-on, and GT500 strip on door panel will be factory. Just my guess.

 

10 minutes guys. This car is amazing! I love that red with white stripes, have ever since i saw the car in motor trend a year ago. We've all been waiting, impatiently, for this car to be revealed and we are now there. The hood looks alright with the stipes, nothing i can't live with. And the shelby looked better on the concept, but oh well, it still looks good. I hope to get one of these bad boys, but i may have to get rid of the 04 Mach 1 to do so
