Just remember that a car is just a car. A wife is something more. Sorry about the bad luck. Hang in there man.

Sorry about pictures but my P.C. skills r not real good. Talked to my Ins. man today and my car is most likely not gonna be totaled he said it has to be $18,650 , but he has 2 people interested in buying it as is. I hope this works out so I can start looking for a new one.

Phil,
Happy to hear your wife is OK.
The car can be replaced.
As a fellow Alabamian, I know just how crappy our auto insurance laws are. For those not familiar with our backward traffic laws, the trooper can't write a ticket unless he/she actual witnesses the accident.

Best Wishes to you and a Get Well Soon to the wife.

John

Sorry about the accident and best wishes to the wife. I hope the insurance company works real hard to get the car sold to someone else and you get back on the road with a new one real soon.

Glad she's alright! I lived in Huntsville for years and the drivers here are nuts. Go see Misty at Woody Anderson and get a new Mustang on order as soon as you can. I recently bought mine from her and was very pleased on my deal!

Okay I am a little late on this thread, but glad to hear your wife is okay, the car is just a car. Sounds like she has some skills behind the wheel and at least enough driving ability to get her butt out of harms way. You should be proud. I know quite a few people that would have been driving like a deer caught in the headlights and the result could have been much worse. So you were very lucky in this case.

As for the jerk, man he is lucky it was not my wife who he hit, because knowing the wife once she got over the shock of what just happen she would have jumped out of the wreck and probably pulled the guy through his window and started stomping on him....

She does not wear the pants in the family, but she does wear long shorts.. ahhaha

OMG! Just noticed this thread!

Made me sick to my stomach! So sorry for the loss of the car, and the hurt to your wife. My heartfelt sympathies to you both.

Can't belive yours isn't a total loss - sounds like your car sustained worse damage than mine.

Re the cops - the woman responsible for my crash gave an incorrect insurance number at the time of the accident, so I'm not sure they check that at the time. She was insured, just under another policy.

Wish your wife well, and good luck with the car.
