Thumbs down

I talked to my dealer today, just trying to see if their info matched the computer lady's.
It did by the way. He told me the same thing she did. It's only been a month for me, so it's no big deal. There are others of you who out there that very well deserve to get your cars before me, but one can only hope B)
He did say that I was moved up from a priority 21 to 19 though. He also said that he hopes to see mine serialized in the next week or two.

He said he was talking to someone at Ford yesterday afternoon and that they (Ford) were in the process of re-orginizing how they are handling the stang situation. He was told that he should start seeing things move faster within the system

The reason he was talking to Ford directly was that in the last week, he has had two customers cancel they're '05 GT orders and take their deposits back. One has had a car on order since Oct.

On the same hand, he said he has had customer ordered cars from Dec. and Nov. come in ahead of this guy.

I DON"T KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE,
but he told me that the person at Ford told him that Ford was NOT going to be accepting orders from dealers for cutomer cars after this week

Dealers would be able to order cars for the lot, and those cars would be at the bottom of the priority list, but not individually for customers. Said this was part of the strategy to catch up on the backlog. I hope this isn't true for you guys who still want to order one.

Don't flame me please I'm just the messenger. I hope there is someone out there that can confirm or deny this (Brad, Karpro, anyone ??)

I hope it is true. Maybe I and the other customers that order back in 2004 can get our cars now. Ford needs to do something besides setting on it's corp. thumbs and solve the problem it has made.

Ford is supposed to stop taking 2005 orders sometime in June. All after that will be 2006s to start being made in September.

June 24th is the last 2005 order day. Then there's NO order for a spell...2-3 weeks or so...then you can start ordering 2006.

You won't be able to order from June 24th until late July-August...and that'll be for the 2006 model.

Ok, then find a dealer that will put in a "dealer order" for what you want.

I hope Ford can straighten this mess out. It seems that they are trying to walk a fine line between mainting the demand for the one "Hot" car they have this year, and satisfying the customers that they have who placed orders - dangerous game to play as your stock falls.

Yeah!
Dealer said on BON, that he has 6 Mustang GT on order and does'nt
know if all are going to get built!
Do not know how true this is. With all the orders who can tell!
Just hope all get theirs.
Happy Trails!!
